chapter 24

October 23rd 1992

Michael's POV:

I land at LA airport and now I'm on my way home,  this time it feels better than what it did last time cause I'm staying home for a good while, well until January to be excat. Disneyland is all booked and we're leaving in 2 days. I'm glad that everything is finally over, by the time I get home it's 11pm and not many lights are on. I do notice a dim light in Lucy's room so I'm guessing it's the tv which she has probably forgotten to turn off but she's in her room which is good not that I didn't mind her in my room but I didn't wanna wake her when I go to bed. I unlock the door and walk inside then suddenly Janet appears

"hey, you're back" she smiles

"yeah, is Lucy in her room" I smile

"yep, since Amy been here she's been able to sleep in her room"

"well that's good"

after half an hour of talking we go upstairs and goes our separate ways, I stop at Lucy's room and goes in. she's stretched out like a starfish and has such a bad messy bed hair going on, I smile to myself and walks over to turn the tv off. I gently kiss her head and goes to my room.

Next day

Lucy's POV:

I wake up and have a shower then I look out the window and see it isn't as sunny so I decide to go with some green skinny jeans, yes I know green sounds bad but they're actually a good shade of green. to match them I put on my I heart zombies shirt and the heart is a zombie, after I brushed my hair and tie it up into a bun I go downstairs and I swore I just heard daddy's voice but he isn't due home yet. I ignore it and carry on making my way to the kitchen

"hey, aren't you gonna say hello to me?"

I turn around and see daddy stood there, I run up to him and hug him tightly

"I missed you"

"I missed you too"

"you wasn't meant to be home yet"

"I am, it's the 24th" he smiles

"it is?"

"yep" he smiles and holds my hand as we walk to the dining room

"morning" Janet smiles

"morning" I smile back and sits next to her

"we're going to Disneyland tomorrow" daddy says and starts to eat

"seriously?"

"yes"

"how long?"

"just the week"

"thank you daddy I love you"

"love you too"

"we'll be there for Halloween" I smile and start to eat my food

Michael's POV:

"what does Halloween mean exactly?" I ask Janet whilst Lucy has gone to see Brooklyn.

"it's a night where people dress up as scary things such as ghosts or witches. they either go around trick or treating for candy or just throw a party"

"so basically thriller?"

"yeah, I've actually seen people dress up as thriller"

I nod ok and finish my orange juice

"what's wrong?" she asks

"nothing"

"I know you're lying"
