Chapter 14
Damian’s pov
I felt a pain ripping me a part.
A pain like I’ve never known before.
I felt as if I was picked up then thrown into the grown.
The last thing I remember is seeing Natalia’s face.
She looked so worried.
Why was she upset?
I chose her.
I betrayed my father for a chance at happiness with her.
When I woke up I was in a bed.
This wasn’t my home so where was I?
I didn’t see Natalia.
Did she leave me?
My eyes adjusted so I looked around and realized I was in a hospital.
Why was I here?
I am immortal I didn’t belong in a hospital.
Something was really wrong.
“Oh you’re finally awake.”
“Natalia why am I in a hospital?”
“A lot has happened Damian for one you’re no longer immortal. “
“Wait so I’m human?”
“Yes.”
I didn’t know what to say to that.
“Ok what else is going on?”
“Well your father is starting an all out war here on earth.”
Why would he do that?
Is it to get back at me for betraying him?
Or is he showing me he could do the job I couldn’t?
Either way I can’t let him win.
“Natalia how can I stop him? I am human which means I can now die.”
“Damian when you chose me you were given back your soul however you can’t die. You just no longer have the darkness inside of you. You are well like Nathaniel now only you’re not an angel. You’re a pure of heart like me.”
Is she saying what I think she is saying?
“You want me to work with Nathaniel to take down my father don’t you?
“I want both of us to stop him, and if that means working with Nathaniel then so be it.”
How could she expect me to do this?
“I can’t.”
“Damian I left him, and came to you doesn’t that mean anything to you?”
“Are you serious? I gave up everything for you. Do you regret it?”
“No Damian I love you. We won’t be working with Nathaniel he is gone, but we will be helping the ones that helped him. I have to do this. I need too Damian. I have done so much wrong in my life, and now is the chance to redeem myself.”
“Okay I will help. We both need to make things right.”
This doing the right thing was different it would take some time getting use too.
