You sighed from your position, your hands that were placed on Rui's shoulders going numb from the rain.

It had been two days since the Hokage's death, and a funeral was held for him.

Rui shifted in your grasp, his hands coming up to clutch your black sleeves as he pushed himself against you, attempting to avoid the droplets of water falling from the sky.

You leaned over slightly, providing a shelter for the five-year-old. He looked up at you, frowning at your forlorn face. A few seconds later though, he averted his gaze to the ground, grip on your sleeves tightening.

You closed your eyes, your short hair clinging to the back of your neck as the cold droplets of water poured down on you. You inhaled, thoughts drifting off to somewhere other than the funeral.

I wonder how our ojiji's doing...I hope he's worried about us...he probably is...

[Name], don't you feel lucky that no one has come up to you about your eye? Ever since the fight with Amaya, no one's even looked at you weirdly.

Why bring that up, now?

I don't think we've ever focused on the sitatuon, since we're always so busy fighting and thinking too much about unrelated subjects.

You mean I'm busy with fighting and thoughts.

Shut up.

You sighed, absorbing Yasuo's words; despite your argument. He was right. You were pretty lucky to not have been questioned (by anyone other than Kakashi). Sure, a heterochromic wouldn't exactly make it onto first-page news, but an eye on fire? That would've definitely piqued the village's interest.

You were just lucky enough to not be chased by girls - who still thought you were a male - who questioned you about your 'mysterious' eye.

"Oi, [Name]-chan, you're going to catch a cold if you keep standing there."

Your eyes snapped open, your head immediately swivelling towards the voice. You blinked when you realised it was Naruto, finally startig to realise that it had stopped raining. You looked around, mouthing an 'oh' when you caught sight of Rui running towards Sakura, Sasuke and your sensei, pursing your lips.
