You froze in your tracks, turning your head to find a glaring Rui.

"Lies!" he cut you off, "'nee-cha' was about to sneak out agw'ain!"

"I-I wasn't! And you're supposed to be in bed, Rui!" you took the initiative, and the tables turned.

"I can't sleep! 'Nii-cha's already gone a-and n-n-nee-cha's..." you bit your lower lip in guilt as he angrily puffed out his cheeks, eyes watery and lower lip quivering, "I HATE YOU!"

Your eyes widened as he turned on his heel, running into the bathroom before slamming the door, making you wince.

Now usually, you would've shrugged and 'che'd, before going off to 'sneak out' again, but this was Rui we were talking about. Even if he wasn't biologically related to you - you were still his older sister; he didn't know your past, and he certainly did not know about the Chūnin Exams. You sighed as you looked down at your feet, the sudden silence in the unit making the atmosphere awkward.

Well, I guess I could stay off of training for one night...I mean I've been training nonstop for the past week and Naru-fish just left two days ago...I feel so distant from Rui...
