Katniss (District 4)

I awake to mom banging on my door.

“Wake up Katniss! It's reaping time!"

I jump out of bed.

“That is at 2:00!" I complain.

“It's 1:48! You slept in!"

Oh, No. I promised to see Catherine today. I open up my closet and quickly grab a green dress and put it On. I run down the steps and get my green boots.

“Hurry!" My mom calls. “Be quick about it."

I pick up my dress and run to the square.

“Just in time Miss." Lorie the person at the blood test says. “Your always late."

She sticks the long needle in my arm.

“Ow!" I say.

“Your done. Next!" She calls to no one.

I Spot Catherine and run to her.

“Sorry. I forgot to wake up." I say.

“Just wake it sleepy head."

“Yeah. Like you did not see Henry." I say.

“Well, you we extremely late!" Catherine says.

“Ah, so you did."

“Does it matter?" Catherine says annoyed.

“Yep." keep say smiling.

“Time to pick our tributes." Says Else Cook.

She reaches into the glass bowl full of names. She grabs a slip. Then she drops it back in. I let my breath go. It mist be me! Then she pulls out a second slip. She unfolds it halfway then drops it back in. Then she grabs a slip and reads it.

“Thresh Deda!" A tough gutsy walks up.

“Katniss Everdeen!" I run up. It's me!!!

“0% Good." My mom says.

“Nah, Like 70%." My brother says.

“A whole 100% Lucky." My sis says.

“No like 5000% Awesome!" I say.

“Here take this." Kimi my sister says.

She presses a necklace in my hand.

“Thanks." I say.

“Bet this coin is 85% More lucky." Phill my bro says.

He flips a old tarnished coin at me. It's shape seems to be a oval.

“Dont want it." I say. “It looks only 14% Lucky.

I flip it back. Really this is my bro's favorite coin. My family leaves and I look at the necklace. On the end is a disk with a Rue flower carved into it. I look up but she is gone. The flower seems to bring peace. The only thing I could not learn. Kimi was a master of peace.
