A FULL CIRCLE #1

Your tongue can sometimes have a mind of its own.

You no longer own your tongue- it owns you.

It kills.

It is like a sword.

It is able to slay.

It is able to maim.

It is able to hurt.

It is able to kill.

***

The word that come out of your mouth whether voluntary or involuntary- attack and hit people's weakest points.

"You shouldn't really do that."

"You shouldn't eat that."

"You shouldn't wear that."

"You shouldn't try that."

Negative put downs telling you almost reminding you that-

YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

YOU WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH.

and that:

EVEN IF YOU TRY YOU WILL FAIL.

***

Some people are very good at attacking and not very good at defending.

They continue to attack and attack and ATTACK.

They are good at manipulating and finding their way into you mind.

You can try and BLOCK them.

Put up a wall but instead it collapses and they hurt you.

So you get up and smile- even if you are hurting inside.

Even if you want to burst out crying or punch them in the face.

A shield will slowly build.

A shield built of smiles.

A shield of smiles that will transform into an army.

An army that will protect you no matter what happens.

An army within yourself.

Because, after all, aren't you meant to fight your own battles?

***

But then, how are you meant to fight a battle for an army by yourself?

No one wants to speak out and call for help.

So instead you turn to yourself.

You and you only.

You can only trust yourself.

So you bite back at other people.

Your tongue becomes a sword.

***

Don't let your tongue become a sword.

Speak up.

Call out.

"Help..."
