Dedicated to bookworm394 a.k.a my bestie because she was the first one to read this.

Look around you.

On the street, is a woman walking with her child. Her clothing is scanty. Her attire is ragged. Her face is tired. But she is walking. Don't scorn her. Appreciate her and if you can - try to help her. Because she is surviving. She is fighting.

On your left, is a guy driving his car, bobbing his head to the music. He looks peaceful to you on the outside, but on the inside, he is tearing apart. Don't allow yourself to peg him as the happy guy. He has battles of his own. He is fighting.

On your right, you see a girl looking so lost that you can't even begin to imagine how that feels like. You think it looks fake. Don't be so fast to judge her. She's been wandering around the street for days. She can't find her home. But she is trying to find it. She is fighting.

Look around you again.

Do you see that celebrity that has people following her all the time? You think she is lucky, don't you? You want to be just like her. But don't wish that. Don't you ever wish that. Her problems are harsher than yours.

Look again.

Do you see the soldier that has been martyred for the sake of all those innocent people? I know what you are thinking. You are thinking he is lucky to be remembered even after his death. You wish to be like that. Don't. He never wanted to fight. All he wanted to do was paint spectacular pictures. But his parents forced him to fight in the army. And now he's dead and his wife has gone in to permanent depression. He isn't lucky...not by a long shot.

And do you notice the man who's interviewing all those celebrities? Yeah. He's not lucky to have met all those famous people at all. In fact, he has been drowning in an inferiority complex all his life because of it. But no one notices. They never do.

And have you looked at the celebrity's chauffeur even once? He has always been so desperate to be noticed. But no one really has and he just wants to kill himself because he thinks he isn't good enough.

Look around you.

Look at all those people who are walking past you. They are all fighting their battles. They all have stories to share. They are all standing straight despite all the pains they have faced.

Appreciate that. Notice that.

Because every human being deserves to be appreciated and noticed every once in a while.

Even you.
