"It's a little flat Matt. Why don't you try that again." Brian said from the couch as he played the music back.

I sat in my chair staring at Matt through the window.

The look on his face as he sang the lyrics was one of pure enjoyment.

I grinned widely and smiled as he nailed the line.

"That was great babe." I told him over the mic.

He smiled and blew me a kiss.

I started laughing as the guys started making fun of us.

Brian was making kissing sounds but soon stopped when Michelle smacked him in the arm.

I stuck my tongue out at him and laughed.

I turned my back to him and turned to face Matt.

"Alright babe. That song is done. If you want to come out here and listen to it, anything you guys don't like, we can go back and fix." I told him.

He nodded and put the headphones on the microphone before walking out and sitting next to me.

He leaned over and gave me a kiss.

I smiled and shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts that were starting to cloud over my mind.

Matt smirked and leaned back in his chair.

I glared at him.

He knew exactly what he was doing.

Jerk!

I played the song back and Matt took out the lyric book, reading over some lines and singing them softly.

I looked over at him in confusion.

All the songs for the album where done.

What was he working on?

I stopped the track and looked over at him.

"What are you working on babe?" I asked him with a slight smile.

Matt flipped the lyric book closed and put in behind him.

"Nothing." He said with wide eyes.

I narrowed my eyes and tried not to take it personally.

Maybe he just didn't want to show anyone what he was working on yet.

I shrugged and turned back to the guys.

"Alright guys. We've been working for hours. I don't know about you, but I'm starved." I said standing up.

I went and got a pad of paper.

"What do you guys want?" I asked them.

I took down all of the orders and started making my way over to my purse.

I was about to walk out the door when Matt pulled me back and against his chest.

I was shocked to say the least and he tried to kiss me.

Even though I told myself it wasn't personal, it was just that.

I turned a cheek and that's where his kiss landed.

His eyes narrowed in confusion as he looked at me.

I put a smile on and gave him the quickest peck and then turned my back again.

"Hey wait up Bella! I'll tag along with you." Michelle said happily.

She leaned over and gave Brian a big kiss.

She pulled away and Brian leaned forward.

"Hey!" He groaned.

Michelle grinned wickedly and walked away, swaying her hips seductively.

I shook my head with a laugh and watched as Brian stared her down as she walked away.

"That's how I keep him on the leash." Michelle whispered to me as we walked out the door.

I laughed and gave Matt a quick glance.

He was looking down at his hands, a sad look on his face.

I instantly felt bad for what I did.

'I'll make it up to him when I get back.' I told myself.

"Do you know what Matt was writing in that lyric book?" I asked Michelle.

"Uh, lyrics?" She said with a laugh.

I laughed too and walked down the street with her next to me.

"I know that. I mean, do you want what song he's working on. He won't let me see it." I told her glumly.

She wrapped her arm around my shoulders.

"Don't worry about it honey. Matt just gets like that sometimes. Especially if the song is really important to him." Michelle told me.

I nodded.

She's right.

I'm overreacting as usual.

I need to calm down.

Punishing Matt for wanting to keep something to himself is not fair.

And it's something I won't be doing again.
