I finally got everything settled in the place I want it.

I couldn't thank my brother and sister or Jimmy enough for going to my old apartment and packing up all of my things.

Even with all the progress that I'm making, I know I'm no where near ready to go back to that place yet.

And I won't be for a while.

I'm fine with that.

I don't want to rush anything.

I just want things to happen the way they are supposed to.

I sat back on the couch, taking in a deep breath.

I could feel every ache in my body.

And it did not feel good at all.

Matt sat next to me, pulling me against him almost instantly.

This is what I love most about Matt.

He's so natural.

I don't feel like he does things just because I want him to.

He's genuinely a nice guy.

That's something that's hard to find.

Especially with my luck.

I looked up at him and placed a kiss on the bottom of his chin.

"Thank you for all the help today." I murmured.

He looked down at me with a smile and kissed my lips.

"Your welcome Bells." He told me.

I smiled and leaned back, happy to sit in comfortable silence with him.

An hour must have passed and I was almost asleep when Matt softly shook me.

"Babe. Come on. Let's get you to bed. I know you're tired." He told me.

"No. I want to stay up with you." I complained.

"I'm going to bed too honey. We can hang out tomorrow." Matt said.

"Fine." I grumbled, letting him help me up.

We walked up the stairs and he walked me to my door.

"I feel like we're coming back from a date." I told him with a laugh.

He started chuckling and wrapped me in his arms.

"Soon. Very soon. I'll take you on a proper date." Matt promised.

"I look forward to it." I told him with a smile.

"Me too." He said, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

"Good night Matt." I murmured.

"Good night Bella." He said.

He hugged me tightly once more before pulling away.

"I'm right down the hall if you need anything. I don't care how dumb you think it is. If you need me. I'll be there." Matt told me.

"Okay." I said softly.

"I love you." He said.

I smiled widely.

"I love you too." I told him.

I turned and walked into my room, closing the door softly behind me.

I leaned back against it and smiled.

I never thought I could feel this giddy again.

Matt makes me feel so loved and safe.

I pushed myself off the door and changed into my pi's.

My turquoise and purple girl boxers and a black tank top.

I made myself comfortable in bed, laying my head back against the big pillows.

I looked around the room, trying not to jump at all the dark spaces.

I closed my eyes, picturing Matt and I slowly fell asleep.

I dreamed that I was in a dark place.

I couldn't see anything, but I could hear footsteps.

And they seemed to be getting closer and closer to me.

For some reason, an unshakable fear enveloped me and I felt myself running too.

No matter how fast I ran, the footsteps that were trailing behind me kept getting closer and closer.

I felt a tingle at the back of my neck and I shivered.

"Gotcha!" His voice whispered in my ear.

I felt hands wrap around my neck and I could feel my windpipe start to close.

Air was hard to come by and I was gasping.

"No. No. Leave me alone. No!" I cried.

I rolled over and realized that there was nobody there with me.

I was alone in my room.

I started gasping for air and felt myself shaking uncontrollably.

I threw the blankets off of my legs and made my way to Matt's room.

There's no way I'm going to be able to sleep without him near.

I don't know why I even tried.

I softly walked through the hallway, making my way to Matt's room.

I stood outside for a moment, contemplating whether I should knock or just go right in.

I knocked softly and after a minute of no response, I opened the door quietly.

I saw Matt laying on back, the sheets up to his waist and his tattoo covered chest, bare.

I tiptoed softly over to his side of the bed and poked him gently.

"Matt." I whispered.

He let out a groan and moved slightly.

"Matt." I said a little louder.

He jumped up with a start and looked at me wide eyed.

"What's wrong?" He asked me urgently, looking around the room quickly.

"I can't sleep. Thought maybe I could sleep in your bed tonight." I told him, looking down at the ground.

He grabbed my hand softly and pulled me into bed gently.

"Come here baby." He murmured.

He pulled me into the side of his body, wrapping his arm tight around my waist.

I rolled over so my face was in the crook of his neck.

I took in a deep breath and relaxed in his arms.

I felt so tired now, and felt like I could fall asleep in an instant.

"It's okay baby. Go to sleep." Matt whispered.

With my heart pressed against his heart, I fell asleep.
