The car door slams shut. I look out in front of me and see what McGonagall told me was 'The Leaky Cauldron'. As I look to see what the muggles passing by the inn think I notice their eyes drift over it, as if it's not even there. Their eyes sweep over the inn from the store on the left to the store on the right. "Professor?" I say intending to question her on this. "No, muggles cannot see The Leaky Cauldron. It has a concealment charm so it cannot be seen unless it's supposed to be." 'Wow!' I think. There's magic everywhere! As the professor leads us into The Leaky Cauldron I glance around nervously, not knowing what to expect. I am surprised by what I do see none the less. It's old, shabby, and not very clean. The professor leads us through past the bar with a man she greets as 'Tom' behind it. Past the tables of witches, wizards and hags. I just walk past slowly, mouth hanging open wide. We reach a brick wall on the far side of the room the professor takes out her wand taps some bricks in what seems a random order. I stare, wide eyed and open mouthed as the the bricks wriggle and squirm as they move to create a large arch way. I turn to my parents to see them pale as paper looking like they're about to pass out. I snort. I don't even think they notice as they're still shocked. On the other side of the arch is the most wonderfully strange thing I have ever seen and I doubt I will ever see anything better, except maybe Hogwarts itself. I walk forward trying to take in everything in sight. The alley is full of bustling kids and worried parents. A huge pristine white building which looms over the others immediately catches my attention. My parents are paler then before. stuttering my dad asks, "C-c-can we p-p-pay for this with n-normal money?" The professor smiles. "No. But we can exchange your muggle money for wizarding money there." She points to the large white building. "That, is Gringotts wizard bank. It will allow you to keep any wizard money safe in a vault or make exchanges whenever needed. Let's go, we have a lot we need to buy." We walk quickly to the bank as we enter through the bronze doors. Once we enter we pass a small, not particularly pretty creature. He bows to us as we pass. My parents suddenly pull themselves tighter together as they walk behind me and the professor. We then reach another pair of doors, silver this time. There is a message on them that reads:

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed,

For those who take, but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn,

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

The professor turns to me then. "Gringotts, is the safest place to keep anything. Except of course, Hogwarts. And it's almost completely run by goblins." We walk through the doors and I see a magnificently giant marble hall. There are nearly one-hundred goblins sitting on stools behind a long counter, examining and weighing gems. Writing on long parchments with quills. "Hello." Said the professor simply To the goblin at the end of the row. The goblin looked up at her. "yes?"

"Come one Mum! Dad!" I shout behind me as I walk towards the store called 'Madame Malkin's Robes for All Occasions'. Once I was inside a rather squat, smiling witch dressed in all mauve came bustling out to the front. "Hogwarts, m'dear?" She's probably very busy this time of year. "Um, y-yes." I respond shyly. "This way, this way." She shoos me to the back of the store. She slips a robe over my head. "I just have to finish with another customer then i'll be right back dearie." I nod. "Okay." I smile. She smiles back and goes over to a plump boy who's on the next stand over. He smiles weakly as the woman tries to Tailor the robe to the right size. "Hi." I smile at him. "I'm Hermione Granger. Your going to Hogwarts I assume?" He looks at me baffled. I wince wondering if i've done something not normal in this world. "Y-yeah, I am. I'm Neville Longbottom." I smile brightly at him. Suddenly I think of something else. "Are umm, are you a uh, a uhm..." I sigh. "Are you a muggle-born?" He looks at me funny after I ask. "I uhm, no. No i'm not i'm a pureblood. But i'm not all that good at magic. Are you a, a muggle-born?" I look down sadly. "Yes, I am." He looks at me like he feels bad for me, he probably does I think. He's just figured out your a bloody freak! My eyes are filling with tears when he speaks again. "Hey, hey. There's nothing wrong with being a muggle-born! Why would you think that?" He says softly. I look back at him and smile sheepishly. "I-" But just as i'm about to answer Madame Malkin speaks up. "Alright Neville, you're all set." He nods at her and takes off the fitted robe, as he begins to follow her back to the front. "Well, bye Hermione! I hope to see you at Hogwarts!" He finishes with a hopefull smile and turns to walk away.

"Bye Neville." I say quietly.
