~Taehyung pov~

I waited in my seat nervously. I'm hoping Jungkook is in this class today because I need to apologize to him, but I'm scared he won't accept it. I've been here since the first bell had rung. I watched the door closely as people walked in. They took their seats and got out their homework. I had already done that out of nervousness.

I looked at the door again and saw Jungkook walk in. He walked over to his desk behind me and I felt him sit down because of how close our desks were. I gulped. He was about to say something.

"Morning Taehyung." He said. I turned around.

"Good morning." I replied. He looked a bit surprised that I had answered and not grunted.

"Um, I want to apologize for being an asshole for the past few weeks. And, I want to thank you for still being nice to me and doing my worksheet and stuff. I owe you." I said, bowing a bit in my seat. He smiled.

"No problem. Apology accepted. I understand that you may be going through stuff." He smiled.

"But... Are we friends now? Or are we still doing the 'hardly-no-talking' thing?" He asked. The look on his face told me that he was hurt by how I've been treating him. I felt bad. I gulped.

"We can be friends again... when did we stop being friends?" I asked, chuckling a bit. He smiled.

"You're right." He smiled.

"Anyway, how have you been for the past few weeks?" Jungkook asked.

"Um... stressed." I answered honestly. He looked at me with worry in his eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Ok... just know that you can." He said. I nodded.

"Thanks." I said. He smiled.

"Anytime." He replied.

"Ok guys, I'm going to come get your homework, we will then take the test okay?" The teacher said. I looked at the teacher. I looked back at Jungkook.

"Test? When did he say that?" I asked. Jungkook giggled.

"He said it last week." He replied. I gulped.

"Oh no..." I sighed.

"I'll let you cheat off me." Jungkook said, getting homework out.

"No, you've been nice enough. It's okay." I smiled.

"Ok... but if you need an answer or two, tell me." He said. I nodded.

The teacher came back into the class and collected out homework. He then passed out the test. I looked at it. I felt my stomach turn upside-down. What the actual fuck is this shit???

I turned around atJungkook and gave him the 'look' of 'fuck, I need help'. He chuckled and started to do his test. A few minutes later, He pasted it to me and I gave him mine. He did it and passed it back. I looked and saw all the questions filled out. I slightly bowed down to Jungkook in my head, without him I'd be dead.

I walked home happily. Jungkook and I had caught up on much-needed conversation. We talked all gym class and even talked all the way to Jungkook's car. Then, we separated and I began to walk home.

I walked up my driveway to my house. I walked inside. I walked to my room and I did my homework as usual. The house is quiet, which is something that is a rare occurrence. I listened quietly for anyone, but I couldn't hear. The front door wasn't locked, so obviously, someone is home.

I heard a crash. I jumped and fell out of my chair. I groaned. I rubbed my head. It hit the foot of my bed when I fell. My door opened, revealing my father.

"What the hell did you do?" He asked.

"I heard a crash and I fell..." I answered, sitting up.

"That was me. I dropped some glass plates." He explained. I nodded. I stood and sat back in my deckchair.

"I wanted to tell you yesterday, but I forgot, you only have another week to get that money." He said. I looked at him.

"H-huh?" I asked.

"You heard me. You only have a week. I would get it and hurry." He said.

"Dad, I can't get that much in a week..." I said.

"Go to Jungkook." He said.

"We aren't friends-"

"Don't give me that bullshit. Your mother was talking about it yesterday." He said. I gulped. I forgot to tell my mom to not talk to dad about any of that.

"So, don't lie to me again, or you won't be the only one suffering, Jungkook will too. I'm not afraid to hurt him." He said. I nodded.

"Anyway, get that money." He said. I nodded again. He closed my door and walked away.

I got up and ran over to my closet. I got the money I stole. $400. I got the money I've been saving. $643. Add them and you get $1043, which is nowhere near enough.

I gripped my hair and began to cry. I'm actually starting to like Jungkook... more than a friend. I think I've been liking him more than a friend... No, I've been in love with him. I can't steal from him and his family. What do I do? Now his life is at risk. There's no way out... I'm stuck... Jungkook's stuck... and it's my damn fault.
