Chapter 28: Pranked

Red's POV

I stood now facing Ryder, a soda bomb in hand. He held a water ballon of unknown substance. Kylie was covered in pie to my right. Jake was hanging from a tree by his foot behind us and Alec was dripping with cranberry juice.

As we stood on the lawn the question the whole pack was wondering was 'How?'.

****Four hours prior ****

"Want some Mentos?" Kylie had eaten half a roll of them already.

Laughing I took the rest and put them in my pocket. "No more for you." Teasing her she just glowered jokingly.

I was laying across Kylie's bed. We were listening to music when a voice ran through the house. "Red! Get you're cute self down here!" Ryder.

I jumped up to see Kylie rolling her eyes at me. Sticking my tongue out at her, she jumped up and I ran down the stairs.

Ryder stood at the bottom of the stairs. His arms opened for me but I ran straight behind him, Kylie on my heels.

He spun around, wrapping his arms around me. Leaning back against him I smiled.

Kylie moved in front of me, wiggling her eyes brows and darting out into the kitchen when I reached for her.

Moving to get her, Ryder had other plans, spinning me in his arms. "You aren't going anywhere love. What time were you supposed to meet me for lunch?" he wondered.

We were meeting at one. Grabbing his wrist I looked down at his watch. 1:32. He was smirking at me which only made me feel worse. "I'm sorry." I whispered, wrapping my arms around him.

His finger tips pulled my chin up to look at him. "I know love. That's why I think I should get a kiss." He lifted me so our faces were even.

"Do you now?" I wondered wrapping my arms around his neck.

He nodded. "I do." Laughing lightly I shook my head at him.

His hand came up, cupping the back of my neck and tilting my head towards him.

Just as our lips met something splattered all over Ryder. We pulled apart in time to see a scoop of ice cream slide down Ryder's cheek and onto his clothes.

My chest hurt with how hard I was laughing. Through teary eyes I saw him glare at Kylie before turning back to me. "You think this is funny?" he whispered, but I couldn't stop laughing long enough to give him a coherent response.

As I got my laughter under control, he set me down. Squish. Something cold was mushed all over my face and I have a feeling I know what.

Using my hands I carefully wiped the ice cream out of my eyes. "Ryder, it is so on." I growled the words at him staring through him.

He took a wary step back. Kylie came up beside me. "Let the prank war," She glanced between us and we both nodded. "Begin!" she waved a dish towel and Ryder bolted out of the house.

"You know he's getting Alec and Jake right?" She nodded handing me the towel as I wiped the ice cream from my face.

"Let's do this." She declared.

I had just tied the last rope, jumping down and fist bumping Kylie.

"Let's get 'Em." Kylie declared.
