"Aunt May! Aunt May!" Peter ran into the apartment, almost falling over about five times in the process. He heard rapid footsteps after he entered and was met with a frantic May holding a broom as if it were a sword. She looked around a little and realised that Peter was fine when he had his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. She huffed in relief and put the broom down.
"Was that a broom?" He asked as he pointed to it resting on the couch.
"Yes now why did you make me think some mugger was chasing you?"
"Were you gonna try and beat a mugger... with a broom?" He wouldn't let go.
"Yes, now, answer the question!" Aunt May was now becoming impatient at her nephew.
"Oh right, yeah, um, I need your help."
"What with? Homework? Cause you know I'd be no help with all that science stuff."
"No, I uh, I'm gonna have my first date tonight." May's eyes widened at the sentence. Her nephew, the boy who can barely hold a conversation with another male, had a date with a femal.

"Oh my god are you serious?!" She smiled.
"Yeah, I asked out (Y/N)!"
"PETER, THAT'S AMAZING!" She ran and hugged him, for a moment Peter thought that she was the one with the super strength.

The evening was then spent with Aunt May trying to teach Peter how to do a tie, what girls like, how to dance and what to say to her. He had called a restaurant and made a reservation, he was dressed in his suit and was all ready to go and pick up (Y/N).

"I'll see you tonight Peter, have fun." May smiled at her nephew and shut the door behind him.

*time skip*

"Peter, it's ok." (Y/N) stopped him from walking any further.
"No it's not! I ruined it." He complained.
"Peter, you didn't ruin anything..." she sighed and stared him straight in the eyes.
"Yes I did, this was my first date, ever, I had Aunt May teach me all these things like how to tie a tie and what to say to you and everything to do with a romantic date, but I blew it, I spilt Diet Coke all over your dress, I tried to say you look nice and ended up basically calling you an idiot! I messed this entire date up."
"What are you talking about? It was fine."
"Well fine isn't what it was meant to be. It was meant to be perfect."
"It was-"
"No, (Y/N)! You don't get it! This night meant everything to me! I wanted you to feel special tonight, I wanted to sweep you off your feet! Everything was meant to be perfect! I planned everything to the second and none of it went right. I really like you and I wanted this night to show you how much, I wanted to be the guy for you."
"Guy? What guy?"
"The guy that would be there when you fall down. The guy that would hold your hand when you were alone. The guy that would be your shoulder to cry on when you got into an argument with one of your friends. The guy that you had your first kiss with, your first everything with and now that's never gonna happen because you're you and I'm me. I'm not the guy and you'll just go home and forget about me." He started to walk off. Tears starting to surface.

He got around a block down the street and he heard footsteps and then felt a small hand wrap around his wrist. Arms wrapped around his neck and he felt taken aback. Tear drops were pouring down his cheeks now but he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I really like you too, Pete, and no matter how much you say that this date was terrible, I thought it was perfect. Having everything go according to plan is boring sometimes. It's fun to have things go wrong. I loved tonight. I'd love it if we could go out again sometime."
"Are you serious?" Peter was confused. He thought that the date had gone tremendously wrong. But it turned out. That his thought was tremendously wrong.

She pulled away from the hug and nodded with a smile. He pulled her back and hugged her tightly. As though if he were to let go, he would lose her. And her didn't want to lose her. Never in a million years.
