that morning laura and richie woke up, and the two couldn't help but smile.
"good morning" laura quickly kisses richie on the cheek before rushing to the bathroom, and change.
"you look beautiful as always" richie smiles as he throws on his white and blue flower cardigan over his white t-shirt.
he fixes his glasses on his face and the two walk down stairs together.
"i think i'm gonna go to the arcade today" richie says as the two hop on their bikes.
"well have fun, i'll see you later rich" she smiles as the two ride down the road in opposite directions.
laura was enjoying the day, before meeting up with bill and beverly she stopped at a gas station to purchase and cherry pop tart.
she ate quickly as if she didn't hurry she would be late.
laura found bill, waiting beside himself.
"bill!" laura smiles as she rides her bike beside him.
"h-hey laura" bill smiles and hugs her.
bill seemed to have a worried look on his face.
"what's wrong?" laura asks.
"beverly isn't h-here yet" he says.
"it's fine, she may be a few minutes late." laura smiles and bill nods in agreement.
for the next twenty minutes the two waited on their bike as bill looked at his watch as many times as possible.
"okay, yeah. now i'm a little worried" laura says.
"l-let's go" bill says as he pedals off and laura follows close behind.
bill and laura run up the stairs to beverlys apartment.
the door was open, as the two stepped in they noticed the mess in the living room.
"beverly!" the two yell, bill immediately run to the bathroom and laura runs to beverlys room only find something terrifying.
laura screams as loud as she possibly could and runs to the bathroom where she found bill staring down at her fathers lifeless body.
"bill you have to look at this" laura grabs the boys hand and they walk to the hall to her room.
beverly wasn't there, nobody was. the only new thing was blood on the wall writing "you die if you try"
"w-we have to go, we n-need everybody"
bill says running through the apartment.
"bill but dont you remember, nobody wants to go back" laura says.
"that's because it didn't have one of us" he says before laura follows him back to their bikes.
the two arrive at the arcade, so laura could warm her boyfriend.
"nope" laura says before decided to stay on her bike.
"you need to go tell him, i can't have my boyfriend and my best friend fighting, i'll call eddie and stanley, i have some change on me"
"o-okay" bill gets off his bike.
"wait did you say b-boyfriend" bill asks but laura was already gone to find a phone booth.
laura was quick to call eddie and stanley, and told them to meet her and bill at the arcade.
laura made her way back to the street the arcade was on to see bill still waiting outside.
"did you go in there?" laura asks.
"if he's your boyfriend then w-we should b-both go do i-it" bill says.
laura nods then sighs "no problem billy boy" she smiles and the two walk into the arcade.
bill is the first to walk up to richie,as he was playing street fighter.
"what do you want?" richie sasses.
"see that guy i'm hitting? i'm pretending it's you" richie remarks.
"i-it got bev" bill says quietly
"what do you mean?" richie says still studied on his game.
"it richie, it got bev" richie looks at bill almost as if he was still confused, still not noticing the much shorter girl behind him.
"FUCKING IT RICHIE" laura yells stepping beside bill, causing the whole arcade to shut up silent.
"sorry" she grabs richies hand. "but this is serious okay? and i care about bill, he's one of my best friends, and he was there for you the first time we went to neibolt so you need to make up please" laura begs.
"you're right but he needs to apologize first" richie crosses his arms.
"for fucks same rich-" laura starts.
"n-no r-richies right. i p-pushed first." bill walks up to richie.
"i-i'm s-sorry" bill says causing laura to smile, then nudging richie with her elbow.
"i'm sorry too" richie says.
"yay!" laura smiles.
"guys!" the three best a familiar voice.
"ed's!" the three teens run up to the boy in the red shirt and a cast.
"we've missed you" laura smiles hugging the boy around his neck.
"what about stan the man?" stanley walks through the door and laura is the first to hug him.
"did you call mike and ben?" laura asks.
"yep they should be here right about" mike and ben suddenly show up.
"now" stanley smiles.
"well guys, let's do this fuckers!" richie yells with no enthusiasm returned.
were the losers afraid? only a few. but bill? not anymore.
they had to save their best friend it was now it never.
