new house, new people

Valentina's POV

I woke up. My phone read, seven a.m. Did I really sleep until the next day? Oh well. I needed that sleep anyways. When I got up, I saw all of my things pulled out and put into bags. Even the dogs were in kennels. What was happening? Luca popped his head in. I hoped it was for a sorry. "Get your stuff ready. I found a new house for us. You're also going to meet a few people. Be presentable I guess." And then he walked away. The fuck was wrong with him? I felt my heart sink a little.

I grabbed a bag and found clothes. I put them on, covering my hickeys, then grabbed my phone and dogs. I brought them to the car out front and put them in the back. I got all my bags and set them in the very back. I sat up in the passenger's seat and waited for Luca. He finally came and got in. He didn't even look at me. Anna and Stefano were outside waving. I waved back. I'm still very confused. "Luca? What's going on?" I said hoping he was in a better mood.

"Nothing, this is just a safe house. Not a house to live in. I needed to get a new one, and so I found one. Matteo will be living with us, but he's already there with the maid." Holy shit. I didn't even think about Matteo. Wow. I'm a great person. Why was he being like this? It's like when we first met. He was so mean. Then he became nice and shit, and is back. Guess it's what I get for trusting him so quickly. I swear I felt something new between us. I'd never felt it before. Guess it was nothing.

We arrived at the house. There were some cars already out front. We got out and I let the dogs out and explore. The front yard was closed off so, they were good. We walked in, and there were three people there. I recognized them from the first time I set foot in the safe house. Luca walked up to the first male and hugged him. They both walked over to me.

"Val. Meet Luigi Russo. He's my best friend and most trusted member." I looked at the friend. He reminded me of Luca. Same darkness in his eyes. Same facial expressions. Same height and build. "Hello gorgeous," he said to me, bowing. I couldn't help the blush that appeared on my face. Luca quickly glared at Luigi. Luigi just smiled.

Luca brought me to the other people. A female and another male. "This is Christafano and Emma." I smiled towards them both. They smiled back. Except Emma's was fake. "Well, I quite like your style boo. Where'du shop?" He was gay. But I didn't mind. I had always wanted a gay best friend. "Oh actually, these are Anna's old clothes." He looked at me and his mouth dropped. "My mom used to dress cool?" Then my mouth dropped. They had a kid?! This was their kid woah!

"Yeah I'm their kid." He said laughing. I laughed with him. Then Luca spoke up. "I'll be back. There's some business to attend to." He looked at me blankly. Then walked away. As soon as he did the bitch got up in my face. "He's mine don't even think about trying anything." She said in a 'threatening' tone. Great, what is this cliche shit? Was I in some teen movie? I was not going to let her think she could do whatever she wanted though. Why not have some fun? But maybe I shouldn't start stuff.

"Alright, I don't need this shit." And I started walking away, then she grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards her. I quickly grabbed my hand back.

"Alright look. If you ever put your hands on me again, I'll knock you out. Two." Then I lifted up my shirt so it showed my stomach and chest. "I've already had my fun with him. There's more on my neck by the way. So if you mind I'm going to leave and pretend this conversation never happened. Okay?" I walked away. Emma's mouth was wide open. I could see the fire behind her eyes. Christafano sat there laughing at Emma. That felt good.

Luca's POV

Luigi had some info on Alex and them for me. I walked to him, and he started talking. As soon as he did though, I saw Val lift her shirt all the way up, revealing her boobs and toned stomach. Along with all the hickeys. I smiled as I knew exactly what was going on. Emma looked furious. I could see Christafano laughing his socks off. The same thing happened when I introduced them to Stel. They didn't know she was my sister yet, and Emma got up in her face. I found it funny. I actually hate Emma a lot, but she brings good info in from the streets. So I keep her around.
