Monday, July 28, 2018 // 5:40 a.m.

After my little break down this weekend, I took Sunday to just relax, around twelve p.m. I went to a gym, and started to work out, like miss De Luca said, my body is fine, and I agree, but I also thought maybe adding some muscle will be good for me. So starting every Sunday I'll go to the gym, along with every Monday and Wednesday after work.

Strawberry stayed with me Sunday making sure I was okay. I truthfully am, sometimes that happens to me. The memories come back is all. I do get nightmares. Strawberry says they're pretty bad, but I don't mind. I'm used to it by now.

Anyways, today's my first day of being a waitress at "Caffè Florian" I'm actually excited because I heard it's one of the best Coffee shops in Venice. As I was getting dressed, I realized I don't really have the right clothes for this job. I then began freaking out because it's my first day and I'm already going to get fired because I'm not dressed for the part. Then my phone rang

Caller ID: De Luca

I let out a long breath of relief and answered the phone.

"Good morning Miss Moretti. I guess I probably should have told you earlier, come dressed wearing whatever. We have clothes for you to change into, in a locker room. I'm sorry if you were worried this morning." She says in a rush.

"Actually, Miss De Luca, I was very worried but this call really helped me calm down. I'm very happy you have clothes for me. Thank you." I reply just as fast, relieved I had clothes to change into.  "Miss Moretti, Call me by my first name, Stella." "Alright Stella, will you be calling me by my first name? Or should I get used to Miss Moretti?" As I finish my sentence, I hear Stella laugh a little, I wasn't trying to be funny, but I guess it came off as, and I hope it's alright.

"Actually yes Valentina, I will be calling you by your first name. My boss though, I don't exactly know what he'll call you. Not to scare you or anything, but he can be serious, a little too serious sometimes, so just whatever he calls you, roll with it okay?"

I hesitantly answered because now I kinda was scared to see who this big boss man is. "Okay, I can deal with Miss Moretti and Valentina, but if it's anything that offends me or reminds me of something bad, no promises." I hear her sigh, I know I probably shouldn't have said that or do that when I'm there, but I'm just telling her the truth.

"Alright, Valentina, that's totally up to you. Just meet the man before making any rash decisions. I'll see you very soon."

"Okay thank you, See you soon."

And then she hung up. At least now I know there will be clothes and I can stop freaking out. It was around six twenty, and I remembered the cafe is kind of far from here so I'd better get going.

Strawberry was still asleep so I left a note telling her when I should be home, where the nearest store is just in case she needs it, and to clean up any mess she makes. I laughed a bit to myself imagining her reaction to the last part I wrote.

I put my headphones in, my phone in my back pocket, and I went to go find a bus station quickly. I found one about five minutes away and then sat down. The bus came, and I got on. Luckily there wasn't much traffic today and the ride only took about ten minutes. Leaving me around fifteen to twenty minutes to get ready.

I walked in and a freshly brewed coffee smell came smashing into my face. I couldn't help but take a deep breath. It smelt amazing. I was so happy to get to work here. I noticed the nice old lady from the last time, and her name is Sofia, and I thought it was beautiful. As did she think my name was beautiful and that it suited me. We chatted for a bit, then I asked her where the locker room to change was at, and she took me, and on her way back she walked into the room next door. I'm guessing that it was Stella's office or something.

I changed into the cute white shirt and black shorts that were lying there for me. I put my hair up into a messy bun and then put my glasses on. Yes, I wear glasses. Mostly when I'm doing something important so I don't mess up. As I walked out of the locker room, unnoticed, Stella was talking to a man. I didn't know who, and once Stella noticed me, and the man noticed she wasn't paying attention he sort of turned his head toward me. That's when it hit me. I knew the big build and flawless jawline anywhere. I kind of gasped. I didn't know if he recognized me or not. But what he said next proved me right.

"Hello, you must be Miss Moretti. I'm your boss. You can call me Sir. And nothing else. I want you to talk to Stella, and get straight to work." The coldness in his voice was unfamiliar to me. I wanted to be scared of him. But I wasn't. I was intrigued by the man. More and more. He seems to be pulling me in. I'm not going to lie he was so much more handsome in the light. His dark hair. Beautiful skin, and those eyes. They were mesmerizing. I couldn't help but stare right into them. They were a light shade of grey, I honestly got lost in them for a second. Then I noticed he looked just like Stella, and I was wondering what the heck was going on.

Before I interrupted there little talk, they were talking in hushed voices, and as soon as they noticed me they both quickly stopped talking. I wondered what was so important. I also had to remember I had a boyfriend that I loved. I love Alex, I love Alex, I love Alex. I had to tell myself as this mystery man was still in my head.

Soon Stella interrupted my little break from reality, and said "So.. that's the boss, told you he can be a little too serious," As she said that she kind of forced a laugh. "He wasn't too bad, I've dealt with worse. I do have a sort of personal question, do you mind?"

She thought about it for a little bit and replied, "No." So I asked my question "Is he related to you in any way? You both have those silver eyes, beautiful skin, and jet black hair."

"We actually are twins. Born and raised here in Venice. Nice observing skills."

"Thanks, I guess, but do you work together? Or is he your boss?"

"He is my boss, but since he's my brother he can't exactly tell me what to do." She said with a smirk and sparkle in her eye. This family keeps making me want to know more. I just couldn't help it.

"Alright, it's about time I show you the place, how it works, and what to do." I followed her behind the counter. She showed me how to work the register. I already knew how which impressed her. She then showed me how to make the coffees on the menu. They were all pretty easy. It also impressed her with how well I could make them. She stayed with me through the day helping me with the big amounts of people, and just when I needed a little break.

I didn't even think of the business they get every day. It had to have been like a million people that came in today. I shouldn't be shocked though because they are one of the best cafes here. It was just about closing time, I went and changed into my clothes and came out to the tables and saw Stella.

"Hey, great job today, I was impressed with how well you did. I guess when you said you had the experience you weren't lying." We both laughed a bit. "Of course I didn't lie. But I was wondering, I got accepted as a waitress. Why did I get to do all the cool things today?"

"When I was showing you how to do certain things this morning I was confident you'd be ready to take on doing more than just passing out food and drinks. And you proved today that you know what you're doing and can get things done quickly. So if it's alright with you, I want to make you more then a waitress." I was pretty happy because although today was exhausting, it was so much fun. "I'd happily like to do more!"

"That's great to hear Valentina, and because you did so great, you will be getting paid more than originally. You'll get paid weekly here, when you get your paycheck, I imagine you'll be pretty happy," she says with a big smile.

"Hey Stella, you can call me Val if you'd like, I know Valentina is pretty long, and thank you, I'm very excited for tomorrow."

"Okay Val, see you tomorrow." And then we both went our separate ways.

Since you still don't really know what Valentina looks like, sooner then later, the story will change its point of view (POV) into someone else to help explain what she looks like.

The cafe she works at is a real cafe in Venice. It looks pretty yummy, yes I know Venice has lots of water, but this story is fictional so yeah.  Also the picture is the inside of Caffè Florian pretty right? There's nothing to translate right now. To be continued.
