"How'd it go?" Melissa asked as soon as they walked into the house, it was currently 9:00, they were having too much fun that they hadn't realised that they had been out for almost 8 hours. After the restaurant they went to a movie, then they went bowling, and from then on it was nothing but fun.

"It went great, I'm gonna take Cora up to bed, she fell asleep on the car ride back" Derek said as he walked up the stairs with a sleeping Cora in his arms

"How about you Thomas? Did you have fun?" Melissa asked

"The best" he said as he walked into the living room where everyone was, Melissa and Noah were on the sofa snuggled up together, and Stiles and Scott were on separate one seaters, Thomas plonked himself down beside Melissa, Thomas smiled a mischievous smile.

"What's with the smile?" Scott asked smiling himself

"It involves Derek" Thomas said looking behind him to see if Derek was there

"If your looking around for Derek then I'm sure we're not supposed to know" Stiles said

"That's the best part, revealing secrets" Thomas said, he didn't wait for anyone to say anything before he blurted it out "Derek's got a date"

"WHAT!!" was Stiles' reaction

"What's wrong there buddy?" Scott laughed asking Stiles then looked over at Thomas as they silently laughed

"Nothing, I'm just surprised that's all" Stiles said shifting in his seat

"What's her name?" Noah asked

"No idea" Thomas shrugged his shoulders, he went along with making them think Derek's got a date with a girl cause he knew he didn't Derek didn't want everyone to know about his sexuality yet "She wrote her number on a peice of paper telling Derek to call her"

"How'd he meet her?" Stiles asked, Thomas smiled at him

"She was the waiter at the restaurant" Thomas said

"How old?" Stiles asked

"If we don't know her name how do you expect me to know how old she is?" Thomas said

"Just by appearance how old would you say she is?" Stiles asked, Thomas stayed silent as everyone stared at Stiles for asking so many questions "I'm just curious" Stiles told them

"Okay, umm...I don't know around the same age as Derek I guess, 16, 17 maybe" Thomas said

"Who's the same age as me?" Derek asked as he sat down beside Thomas

"No one" Thomas said, Derek looked at everyone as they either looked at anyone else in the room or just kept their head down low, avoiding eye contact with him completely

"He told you didn't you" everyone looked at Derek once he said that "He told you that I have a date with a-"

"Girl" Thomas cut him off before he told everyone "I told them that there was a waitress that gave you her number but you don't know her name"

"Oh yeah, I uhh...yeah no clue what her name is" Derek said looking at his brother, he gave him a smile and mouthed him a 'thank you' for not telling everyone it was a guy and not a girl

"So when's the date kid?" Noah asked

"I don't even know if I'm going, it was all Jenny not me" Derek said

"Well I say call her" Melissa said

"I agree" Noah told him

"Not tonight, do it tomorrow, you don't wanna seem desperate calling her the day she gave you her number" Scott said

"I'm going to bed" Stiles said having enough of the conversation "Night" he said going upstairs

They spent the next hour and a half watching a movie before they all went off to bed.

The next day (2:00pm)

"So have you called him yet?" Thomas asked entering Derek's room

"Nope" Derek replied not looking up from his English homework

"And why not?"

"Because I've been a little busy lately if you haven't noticed" Derek said throwing his pen getting frustrated

"You wanna find out his name don't you?" Thomas asked sitting on the edge of Derek's bed

"So bad" Derek said laying his head down on the desk

"Well there's only one way to find out, ring him up and make some plans" Thomas said "Now I'm leaving and by the time I come back I want to hear you have a date" he said closing the door behind him

Derek picked up is phone and put in his password, he went into his contacts and his finger wavered over the contact that Derek had already saved in his phone as 'Cute waiter guy'.

He clicked on the call button without properly thinking it through and it began to ring, he didn't have time to put it down before he picked up and his voice could be heard from the other side.

"Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?" Derek hesitantly picked the phone up to his ear and spoke

"Hey it's me" Derek said

"Me?" The boy asked

"Oh um from the restaurant, you gave me your number" Derek said

"Oh ye, I remember you, your cute customer guy" the boy said

"Is that seriously what your calling me?" Derek asked

"I bet your still calling me Cute waiter guy" the boy said, Derek laughed and the boy took it as him being right "So what took you so long to call me?"

"Wondering if I wanted to go on a date with you" Derek said

"And have you made a decision?" The boy asked

"I have"
