Chapter 18

I slowly opened my eyes and inhaled deeply. My head was killing me and I felt sick to my stomach. I groaned, closing my eyes again.

"Chloroform can do that to you princess." A voice said.

My eyes popped open and I slowly sat up, looking around.

"Who...who said that?" I asked.

My throat was so scratchy and dry making my voice come out in a whisper. I looked around and saw I was in a very small room with a bunk bed, toilet and sink. A cell. There was one light that hung from the ceiling. I looked into the corner of the room that was dark. A figure stepped forward. It was a man. Very tall, very handsome.

"Hello. The name's Vlad."

My eyes widened when the figure stepped completely out of the shadows.

Vlad, king of the vampires.

"Where am I?" I whispered.

He walked forward and sat next to me on the bunk I was on.

"Well princess you're in Wolfsbane territory."

I moved a couple inches away from him.

"How'd I get here?"

He chuckled and shook his head.

"Obviously you were kidnapped. Gregory found you and kidnapped you and your friend. Ah what was his name...Key?"

"Kai?" I asked, standing up.

He snapped his fingers.

"Kai! That's it. Yeah they have him too."

My head was pounding now.

"I have to get out of here..." I whispered.

"Haha there's no getting out of here princess. Sit down, relax. Stay awhile. I haven't had company in a while."

I stared at Vlad as anger took over my body. I walked over to the cell bars and started pounding on them.

"Let me out of here!" I screamed as I shook them.

"Hey stop that! You're gonna get yourself in trouble!"

I ignored Vlad. I was getting everyone's attention as I continued to scream. One of the guards walked over to the cell and smashed my fingers with his arm.

"Shut up!"

I glared at him.

"I'm princess Galatea and I demand to see Gregory at once!" I growled.

The guard's eyes widened to the size of soup saucers and he looked down the hall to his buddy.

"Go get Gregory! Tell him we have her!"

I heard his footsteps as he ran down the hall. I turned around and looked at Vlad. He looked shocked.

"How come they're letting you out?" He asked.

I sighed.

"I bet you've heard about the one person Gregory's been looking for so he can complete his plan?" I asked, already knowing his answer.

He nodded yes. I turned around and faced the hallway.

"Well it's me. Gregory can't complete his plan without me." I whispered.
