Chapter 7

Kai's POV-

I laid on Tea's bed and stared at her ceiling. There were words all over it. At first glance, it was a bunch of gibberish but at a closer examination it was wolf-speak. Witch-speak was also there too, but I couldn't read that. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Princess of the witches and wizards? Ridiculous. I hopped up and walked into her closet. My eyes traveled to all of the big dresses she had. Why wouldn't she wear one of these? Why does she wear ratty, old clothes? I exited her closet and walked into the bathroom, deciding to take a much needed shower. When I got out of the shower there was a pile of clothes sitting on the counter and a note:

These should fit.

~Tea

I smiled and shook my head. Suddenly a delicious scent caught my nose, making me completely forget about the clothes. I opened the door a crack and saw a huge platter of food on her bedside table. My eyes traveled up and I quickly closed the door.

What was the penelty for a watching a royal witch get dressed?

I smiled and shook my head, trying not to think about Tea changing her clothes on the other side of the door. I slipped on the clothes she brought me and tried not to breath in the wizard stench. I walked out and saw Tea had changed into jeans and a sweater. I leaned against the door frame, watching her carefully. She plopped on her bed gracefully and looked at me.

"Hungry?" She asked.

I stared at her for a while longer and walked forward, sitting on the edge of her bed. She handed me a plate of food and I scarfed it down, not caring what she thought about my manners.

"So what did the Wolfsbane get you for?" She asked.

I shrugged.

"I'm next in line for Alpha."

She nodded but didn't say anything. I opened my mouth to say something but changed my mind.

"What?" She asked.

"You're a lot different than I expected." I said truthfully.

She looked at me with an eyebrown raised.

"What did you expect?" She asked.

I smiled.

"An arrogant, stuck up, bitch." I said truthfully.

Suddenly I was punched in the arm.

"Oww!"

She smiled evilly.

"Don't judge so quickly. You may find out you're right."

I glared at her and she laughed.

"So what's it like, living the royal life?" I asked.

She stared at me.

"It's a pain in the ass." She said quietly.

My eyebrows shot up.

"Really?"

She nodded.

"You have to go to parties all the time, every guy is after your hand and you have to follow in your parent's footsteps. You have to meet their expectations, which is impossible." She said quietly. staring at her feet.

I shrugged.

"It's not impossible." I stated.

She looked at me, her brown eyes electric with anger.
