Where do I begin
It's an over revised story
I wish I could tell it in a few words
But may take until we get home
It could either get worse or better
But you can never really know
They say it's how you look at things
Half empty or half full
Someone turns the lights down low
You could over fear somebody
And the future is knocking at your door
"These are best days, of your life"
And I've tried to turn back the times
(tick tock)
But lost all sense of direction
(where do I go from here)
And even though I can't get my smile to reach my eyes
These are best days, of my life
Warning a storm is come
(evacuation)
Rain can be a blessing
(follow the right route)
But it could also be a curse
So prepare for the worst—best day of my life
Someone went and shot me down
(Draw back and aim)
Arrow to my breast bone
(good marksman)
There is plenty of company to be had around
But I'd rather eat alone
No one even knows you're gone
(Hi, my name is:)
When you're present you feel you're missing
(Hi, my name is:)
But when they find you despondent a light comes on
Best days of your life
When you turned the lights back on
(Lit the entire room)
Lord knows you saved me
(must be 1000 lumens)
I read this story we're traveling on
That ends with the best day of my life
Happy is the heart
(Pressed and overflowing)
That loves more than one somebody
(Sparkling and growing)
And doesn't hunger or thirst
Nor always expect the worse
But loves without reserve
Choose where you begin
(I like the finish line)
I already like your story
(Or we could read it again)
If you are brave enough to share
I promise I will care
Let's make this the best day of your life
