Yesterday I was sitting
Out by the lake
Thinking “Peace Come” for earth’s sake
At night I lie awake
Morning comes and the wind is high
Not a soul dares to fly
There is tragedy in the ordinary chaos in the Extraordinary
Far Away
Yesterday I went walking
Down an old dirt road
Praying “warmth come” for man’s grown cold
And the wars have gotten old
Noon comes and my legs are weak
Not a soul dares to speak
There is tragedy in the ordinary chaos in the extraordinary
Far Away
Yesterday I went running
Through the old field
Saying “Truth Come” for lies up build
And false faces won’t yield
Evening comes and spirits are low
Not a soul dares to show
There is tragedy in the ordinary chaos in the extraordinary
Far Away
A sudden frantic flight into the darkest night
Far Away
We take flight into the darkest night
Far Away
Oh, running—earth don’t run out on me
Legs don’t stop, carry me
Far Away
