Ashley's POV
Today, I woke up in a really bad mood... Just kidding, I woke up feeling great. I didn't have any nightmares so I basically slept like a baby
"morning mom" I greeted taking a seat next to her at the table
"morning sweetie, how did you sleep? " she greeted back without taking her eyes off the morning paper
"fine thanks, you? " I responded taking a sip of my hot cocoa
"fine... Oh your father said he'd call this morning quick get my laptop " she said dropping the paper and bouncing in her seat
"mom would you relax, it's just dad" I said rolling my eyes amused. I ran upstairs and grabbed her laptop then ran back down. I placed it on the table in front of us and waited
"maybe we should call? " she said biting her lip not patient enough to keep waiting
"mom j--" the laptop rung cutting me mid sentence. Mom quickly answered at the second ring
"hi honey! " she squealed, yes literally squealed
"hi my love, how are you? " he said smiling brightly at her
"I'm fine, you? " she asked back reflecting his smile
"I'm okay, though it's freezing here" he said looking around his room. I groaned in annoyance and grabbed the laptop
"hi daddy... I've missed you" I said with a pout... I've really missed my dad, I was so close to him but ever since he moved out due to work I got more close to mom but whenever we talked we'd bond instantly
"oh my God sweetheart is that you? Wow you've grown so much, look at you now" he said bringing his face closer to the screen to take a better look at me
"dad we talked 2months ago" I giggled then smiled sadly at him
" I know sweetie, how have you been" he asked enlarging his light brown eyes at me. You could say I sort of look like both my parents...I guess, I kinda have a part of them both. I have my dads light brown eyes and tanned skin and I have my mums curly hair, height and curved body
" I've been---" a little voice in the background from my dads side interrupted me
" daddy Ash!! " a little boy hugged my dad, yes you heard right I sort of have the same name as my dad
"oh hi Danny" he said placing him on his lap
"dad... Who's this? " I asked furrowing my eyebrows with a slight frown
" Ashley this is Daniel, Danny this is Ashley, your... Big sister " he said smiling at him
" I have a big sister? Cool!!! " he practically screamed in excitement
"what? " I asked confused... I have a little brother? Did he cheat on mom? I thought with a frown
"Ashley he's your cousin, my sister's son. I'm living with them here in Canada for some time" he explained like he could hear my thoughts
" ohh... Hi Danny nice to meet you " I said smiling at him. He's such an adorable little boy, he has dirty blonde hair with dark eyes that shine when he's happy
"hi sis.. I can't wait to come see you " he said excitedly, and just like I predicted his eyes glistened with excitement and joy
"I can't wait either" I replied with a smile at his cuteness
