CHAPTER FIVE: Awakening Memories pt 2 (EDITED)

With one last glance towards Ashley I blacked out

Ashley's POV
Earlier that day...

I woke up next to Chanel, we temporarily said our goodbyes and we both went our separate ways to do what we had to before school.

I stepped out of the shower after 5mins then dried myself with a towel. I put on my adidas sweatpants and slides and secret socks then put on my Calvin's Klein sports bra and tied my hair into a messy curly bun

"Ashley hurry" mom called from downstairs

"coming" I said rushing down the stairs to eat. I walked into the kitchen where mom was and sat down for breakfast

"so how was your night? " She asked setting our plates down at the table

I followed her to the table with our glasses "just fine... Yours? " I said seating and taking a bite of the toast

"fine fine " she replied as we both focused on eating .

After breakfast I grabbed my stuff and headed for the door "oh Ashley sweetie? " mom called from behind me

"yes mom? " I responded turning to face her as I tucked my phone back in my book bag

"your dad called this morning " she said smiling widely,her eyes glistening like a girl fan-girling on her favorite boy band

"mom why didn't you call me? " I asked with a pout. I love my parents relationship, even with dad working abroad and all, they still love each other no matter the distance

"sorry sweetie you just looked so peaceful I didn't wanna disturb " she mocked my pout with her own

"Sure that's why" I chuckled with an eye roll while walking out the door

I walked to my locker with my jumper at hand and got my books for first period

"hey girl" Chanel said getting her books from her locker next to mine

"hey" I greeted back and immediately started talking about everything and anything. "hey Chanel, you never did tell me why you were so dressed up last night" I said leaning against my locker

"oh yeah... I was going for dinner with my parents and their work mates who apparently have two hot sons" she said wiggling her eyebrows

"pfft" I so rolled my eyes to that "oh and thanks for the phone, I don't know what I'd do without you, you're the best" I said slipping my jumper on and letting my curly hair flow down my back since the halls were starting to get crowded and I'm not trying to get attention by moving around with a sports bra

"yeah sur-" she stopped mid sentence and stared at me with wide eyes, well this is uncomfortable

"uh..Chanel, what's wrong? Do I have something on my face? " I questioned her, becoming self conscious but that only made her widen her eyes and further raise her eyebrows wow that's scary "what? " I asked now confused. I noticed she was looking at something behind me, so I turned curiously

curiosity kills the cat b!!!... Oh shut up subconscious ,we all have these arguments don't judge... Now as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted

I turned due to curiosity and was shocked to see Aiden. Just a few Inches away from me.

My heart jolted making me react quickly by looking down then bit my lip nervously ,it's a habit.
what does he want?

"uh...i-" he started obviously trying to break the awkward silence but you know what happened... Yep he was interrupted...by Jake

"Aiden dude what the fuck was that all about, why did you just leave like that, I looked for you everywhere after losing you in that damn crowd " he asked breathlessly like he's been running. Wait, he walked away from Jake just to come here? But why?
