My eyes fluttered open and I blinked them rapidly at the surprising darkness surrounding me. I noticed immediately that I was laying with my head on Harry's lap. The mini movie theater was almost pitch black aside from a few flashing lights on the DVD player and multiple sound systems.

Harry had fallen asleep sitting up right once we'd agreed to put in Finding Nemoand I had drifted off laying on him thanks to the fact that the armrests separating the seats could easily be lifted up and out of the way.

I wondered vaguely what time it was. Being sure not to jostle Harry and wake him up, I stood and felt my way out to the staircase in the dark. After that it was easy to locate the room I was going to start calling 'mine' if I never got to go home.

I stared warily at the slightly open door. I was sure that I had closed it before. I shook it off as nothing and pushed it open the rest of the way. A small gasp escaped my lips.

My bag of clothing was strewn everywhere. The balcony door was wide open, the pale pink curtains blowing in the wind as it filled the room with the cold. The entire room was bathed in white moonlight.

The bed was a mess, pillows across the floor and the duvet and sheets slipping off the edge of the mattress. I stared at the disarray in fear, wondering how this could have happened. The only explanation was either a very drunk gang member that happened to live in this house or a break-in.

I knew Harry wouldn't be able to hear me downstairs so I hurriedly padded to Louis' room and knocked quietly on the door. According to the clock in the other room it was a little after three in the morning, and though I felt sort of bad for possibly waking Louis up, I was too scared to really care.

Thankfully he appeared in the doorway moments later, seeming as if he had never gone to bed, and based on the light on inside I guessed he hadn't. "Alice?" he raised an eyebrow. "You alright?"

"Someone broke in I think," I gushed out. His eyes widened and he followed me back to the room next door to his.

"Damn it," he muttered. "Where's Harry?"

"Still downstairs," I answered.

"Go get him."

I practically flew down the stairs into the mini movie theater where Harry still slouched in what could only be an uncomfortable sleep. How had he not woken yet?

"Harry," I muttered, shaking his shoulder gently. He opened his eyes a peek to look at me and sat up straight when he noticed my terrified expression. I was sure he could see that even in the dark.

"What's wrong?" he asked immediately.

"Someone broke in I think," I explained. "Louis' upstairs now checking it out. He wants you though."

Harry nodded and entwined our fingers before we hurried back upstairs. Louis was looking out the balcony, though not going anywhere particularly near it. He sighed when we entered and gazed evenly at Harry. "Don't freak out now."

"What happened?" Harry demanded anyway. Louis rolled his eyes and then gave me a pointed look, as if to say, 'keep him together'. I nodded, gripping Harry's hand more tightly in mine and rubbing circles on the back of it like he did for me when I was upset.

"Seth broke in here last night," Louis said slowly. "And based on the evidence, I'd say he had someone with him."

"How do you know that?" I could tell Harry was trying hard not to start yelling. His eyes were like charcoal, solid black, and his hand felt icy cold in mine.

"Well, for one I found this." Louis held up a shiny metal object: a hair clip. An intricately designed butterfly sat on one end. It looked as if a few of the pieces had broken off. It was oddly familiar. "Unless Seth wears butterfly hairc clips, I'm guessing he had a female accomplice."
