The exhilaration of a fight was intoxicating to Morrigan, the more her body ached the faster her heart beat, it all made her feel that much more alive. Blasting from the overhead speakers was her new favorite song.

Kael was an old Rock and Roll fan and had converted her from classical to Metallica, Led zeppelin, Black Sabbath and so much more. ‘War pigs’ was her favorite song now. It made for a great work out song apparently, she had nearly forgotten the drama she had caused with her father and the other members of the Horsemen.

Dodging to the side Kaels fist just barely missed her face, he cursed for the second time as his hit missed. He was getting better at offense with her, but his defense was crap. Morrigan brought her fist up underneath him and into his gut sucker-punching him.

He gasped for air and stumbled away clutching at his bruised and sore stomach. He looked up at her with determined grey eyes, slowly his lips curled into a smile and he started to laugh stretching his body out. Morrigan watched with her arms crossed over her chest as he rolled his muscled shoulders and cracked his hands.

“You done yet!” He shouted over the music.

Morrigan tossed her head back and laughed before charging at him, stopping short and pivoting on her left foot bringing her right up to catch the back of his leg. Kael was quick to grab hold of her calf and flip her over onto her stomach momentarily knocking the wind from her lungs.

Before he could pin her to the mat and call the match at 10-10 tie, she slammed her fists against the ground and flipped over as Kael came down over top of her. Her  eyes stretched wide as Kael pinned her, they stared into each other’s eyes for a couple of minutes as the playlist went on.

There was a pull between them, and as frightened as it made Morrigan it was hard to resist the pull as Kael lowered his lips to hers. Seconds after their lips touched both pulled back sharply their faces shutting out all emotion.

“I think it’s a tie.” Kael cleared his throat pushing up and away from her.

Morrigan glared at him and sat up wiping the sweat from her forehead, “Tie my ass, I won.” She muttered.

He shot a look at her and turned crossing his arms over his broad sweaty chest. His tight black tank top was soaked, and more sweat perspired on his skin. The fire came back to life and he moved into a fighting position waiting for her to get to her feet.

“All or nothing then.” He snapped.

She pushed to her feet and shut down her body pushing out the ache in her muscles, the burn in her lungs and the race in her mind. Everything cooled down with her until it was the basic instincts running her system making her thoughts simple and easy to follow.

“All or nothing then.” She matched him and they began the game of waiting, the air became dense with tension as they waited their muscles flexing trying to figure out who would make the first move.

Finally Kael stepped towards Morrigan, Reaching out to grab her shoulder. She shifted dropping down low to the ground and reaching up to punch him in the chest. Kael stumbled backwards coughing a little as the original surprise of the hit faded. He spun around behind Morrigan and knocked her crouched legs out from under her, she dropped backwards onto her ass and had to roll quickly as Kael moved to pin her once more.

Pushing back to her feet she began to circle Kael who then mimicked her movements and they moved in a wide circle eyes narrowed watching the body movements for signs of attack.

The floor beneath Morrigans feet trembled like thunder, followed by a low rumble. Kael straightened and looked around noticing the sound as well, He began to move towards Morrigan stretching his arm out to hold her behind him. She turned his back to him and covered the opposite direction instead of cowering behind him like some child.
