i uncrumpled the poem you wrote me

it was titled cascade because of my hair

i think you write poems better than me

actually I think its a fact

i am now reading it out loud to myself

over and over until I remember

every word by heart

I say it out loud so everyone can hear it

i love her hair

it cascades down her back

like a chocolate waterfall

i remember the carefree summer

days when I would slowly run my fingers through it

i remember those cold

dark nights when I could cry into it

her brown locks smell like her

like sunshine and lemons

her cascading hair is just one of

the many things I love about her
