James stayed with us for months. He learned to hunt, the plants of the forest, survival skills, and all the games and tricks we'd made over the years. It was towards the middle of the summer when a loud noise drew us out of the cabin.

I jumped at the sound. It sounded like a continuation of a loud clap of thunder. James's eyes widened and he ran to the door.

We sprinted towards the noise which lead us to the beach. A helicopter had landed on the sand!

It's propellers sent snow everywhere and the roar of the engine felt almost deafening. It was a dark green with markers in a language I didn't recognize.

A man stepped out in military uniform and four others followed, fully armed. The helicopter became silent and they marched to the reck of James's plane, lead by a man in a suit.

They pointed and talked in a foreign way and sifted the pieces around. They shouted and threw scraps of metal onto the sandy shore.

"Oh no. Emily! Get Sophie, Jake, and Sarah and let's get out of here," James whispered in my ear and grabbed my arm.

"Why? Who are they?" I asked.

"The enemy! Now come on!" He insisted.

"But where would we go?" I replied.

"Away from here! Now come on!"

"There's only five of them," I persevered.

"Five to many now come on!" James growled.

One man shouted and pointed at the trees. Where we were.

They tore across the sand and grabbed us and dragged us into the open.

The man in the suit chuckled and looked at James, "James Smith. Didn't think I'd be seeing you again, now did I."

He paced in circles, hands behind his back.

"Didn't think I'd see your ugly fave either," James growled and grunted in pain as a soldier kicked him to shut up.

"Now, now. Taking refuge in the forest I see, hmm. Clever yet not clever enough. The alliance should have sent a more qualified agent overseas, not some teenager who hasn't even graduated yet. Don't you agree?" The man continued, "and I'm afraid your little friends will have to come too. What a shame indeed."

He inspected Sophie and laughed, "a shame indeed I say."

"A shame you won't take us," I said and flared at him.

He looked at me in an amused way, "oh really? What are you going to do, girl?"

I kicked the man holding me and punched him in the face. James broke free from his holder and shoved him into the tree and punched him. Sofia rolled onto her back and kicked her attacker in the face before getting up to help Sarah. James grabbed a gun and held it to the man in the suits head.

"Ooh, you have gotten clever mr. smith, but not clever enough," the man pulled out a gun  and placed it at James's chest with a sickening grin.

"Shoot me and you'll die too," he said.

"Maybe the world would be better that way," James said through gritted teeth and pushed the gun closer.

I heard a loud noise and looked up. Another helicopter was landing.

"Dammit," the man grumbled and looked at the sky.

James took this as an opportunity to punch him hard and pin him to the ground.

Another man in a different suit came to us and smiled.

"Mr. smith, good to see you're alive and well and have completed you're mission and more," the man greeted and two other man grabbed the enemy dude and dragged him away.

"Hudson will be arrested and probably killed for his charges which are quite significant. You've done well solider," the man said and patted James's shoulder.

I was beyond confused.

"It's time I take you all home."
