Chapter 35 - Not So Stranger, Danger

The first thing I could think of the moment I opened my eyes was 'I'm gonna die'. But then I told myself not to panic. I knew what happened, well kinda. Someone freaking kidnapped us, meaning Zach and I, before we even got to the airport.

I frantically looked around the area for Zach, but there was no sign of him.

My heart weighed like tons in my chest. Where was he? What did they want from us?

The kidnapper was not alone. I knew that because when they kidnapped us I could hear Zach fighting for the both of us. Knowing his skills with fighting, he probably put up a great fight.

A guys stood in front of me. He was tall and his body was built. But that was all. I couldn't see his face, he was wearing a mask. Even with a mask on, I felt like I knew him.

"You're a coward," I hissed at him.

My wrists were hurting due to the tight rope wrapped around it. I was drowsy, but I forced myself not to fall asleep again.

Right after the words came out from my mouth I felt a sting across my face. When, people said they saw stars when they got hit, I never believed it. But this hit got me changing my beliefs.

It hurt like hell!

I bit my lip to stop myself from whimpering. I was not going to let this asshole see me afraid and weak.

He roughly grabbed me by my cheeks and turned my head harshly to face him.

"You should shut the fuck up, bitch," he snarled.

With his hand tightly around my cheeks, I couldn't exactly say anything. So I did what I could manage. I spat at him.

His face may be covered by a mask but I was certain I pissed him off. His eyes showed rage.

Tips when you get kidnapped: don't test your kidnapper.

He lifted his fisted hand at me, and that was all I could remember before drifting into a not so painless sleep.

I groaned when I felt my body being released from my slumber. My cheeks stung and so did my eyes. Not to mention, my wrist were burning in pain. I tried to say something but then realized that there was a duck tape on my mouth.

Bastard.

I looked around and tried to examine the place. My left eye was feeling heavier than my right one but I forced myself to suck it up.

Not like the usual kidnap scene, I was definitely not in an abandoned building or warehouse. To be precise, I was rather in an apartment

There were furnitures pushed against the wall. The walls were beige and there was a flat screen, probably 40 inches, television.

"Inspecting the humble abode, I see?"

I craned my neck to the left and saw my kidnapper sitting on a white plush sofa with three other guys. I managed to give them my nastiest glare.

The one who was here since the moment I woke up chuckled and stood up from his sit.

"I think it's time to give your husband a call."

He produced a white iPhone. It was my phone!

"Hey," I said.

Well, more like tried to say. I think it came out as 'mhpeghy'. But what the hell.

The bastard's eyes glinted in happiness as he walked behind me. I couldn't see him, bur I knew he crouched down. I felt his hand against mine. He roughly pulled my hand, just for the heck of it. The rope stung my wrist at the sudden movement.
