Chapter 13- The Reception

~Jake's P.O.V.~

I was starting to totally hate the party. I hate the way the guys would look at Angel like she was freaking single.

Hello? I do believe this is OUR WEDDING reception.

"You're so grumpy," Luke teased as he sat beside me.

I rolled my eyes and looked at Lin. Why am I so protective?

"Your wife looks so hot!"

I glared at Trent. "Did you not hear what you just said? My wife. Fuck off, Trent."

The boys started laughing, only making my annoyance turn a notch higher.

"Chill, Mr. Grey," Drew said while slapping my back.

He sat down beside me and slapped hands with my bandmates.

It was really good seeing my best friend be friends with my bandmates. My new friends which I consider as a family.

"She is looking so hot tonight." Drew smirked.

I narrowed my eyes at him. But unlike the other's, I knew he was just pissing me off. So instead of snapping at him, I ignored him.

The boys started goofing off with my high school friends when Lin walked towards me. Her hips swayed as she walked. It was making me hard. Her white reception dress just clung into her curvy body like a gloves.

"Dance with me, Mr. Grey?" She asked.

I laughed and placed my drink on the table before standing. "My pleasure."

I took her hand and together we walked towards the makeshift wooden dance floor placed on the sand. The music was not too slow but I decided to wrap my arms around her waist and pulled her towards me. We swayed with her arms around my neck even though we were not following the beat of the music. My heart immediately picked up when she placed her head on the crook of neck.

Why am I feeling this shit with this girl?

"Tracey's pissed off with me," she whispered.

Her soft warm breath touched my skin making me shiver as she talked.

"Why?"

I was starting to get pissed off too with Tracey. Everything that Lin does seems so wrong to her. But I can't deny that she picked us up and made our dreams come true.

"I was spending more time with my friends than with my husband." She pulled away slightly with a frown on her face.

So that's why she asked me to dance with her.

"Well, you were."

She laughed.

I actually like making her laugh.

"I missed them. I never thought we'd all be complete again because of our wedding," she said dreamily.

She was right. I never thought this day would come. After what happened all of us seemed to drift apart. Well, except for me and Lin since she was our designer.

"Do you feel guilty?"

I was taken aback from her question. "Why would I feel guilty?"

"Because I feel guilty. We're lying to them, Jake."

I don't want to lie anymore though.

"It's for a good reason. It's like Robbin Hood. Doing something bad for something good."
