my hot chocolate was sitting there waiting to be drunk

i was typing my essay on my laptop when i saw a guy walked over to me. i quickly pulled my earbuds out and looked up at him

"uh hi. do u mind if i sit here while waiting for my order?" he asked while scratching the back of his head with a slightly shy smile

i gave him a smile and said "yea sure"

he mumbled a thanks and sat down. i resumed on with my work and as i was typing, i can feel him looking at me

i slowly looked up and said "uhh, is there something wrong?"

he flinched as if i interrupted his thoughts

"oh um sorry if you thought i was staring. i wasn't, i was just spacing out- i mean i don't space out like that all the time- no what i meant to sa-"

he was interrupted of his rambling when i started laughing. he's adorable

he quickly looked down at his hand and started playing with it

"it's okay. i space out at times too. it's not something bad, i mean it's not like something you can control can you? it's just like a habit of some sort that you do and you don't even realize it" i told him after i stopped laughing

he was about to say something back but he got interrupted when his name could be heard from the barista

"ONE HOT CHOCOLATE FOR CHANGBIN"

he got up to grab his hot chocolate and i went back to my work because i thought he was leaving. but boy was i wrong

he walked back over to me and handed me a piece of paper

i grabbed it from him and he quickly gave me a smile and walked away

after he left, i opened up the paper to see that he gave me his number

i know we just met but you seem like a cool person to hang out with. if by any chance you're free, give me a call?

i smiled and got my phone out and put in his number

i texted him first and he quickly replied after a few seconds

me: hi. it's coffee shop girl
changbin: hi. it's awkward spaced out boy

and that was the start to a long lasting relationship...
