So guys, ang mga entries na isa-submit niyo should be in Romance plus (kung anong napiling number) genre.

Romance PLUS:

1. Horror

- What are Horror stories? They intend to frighten readers and introduce feelings of horror and terror. Horror can be either supernatural or non-supernatural.

TIP: Minsan, nahahaluan din ito ng mystery/thriller. Okay lang kahit na ganun basta angat pa rin ang romance-horror genre ng story. Tandaan mo, ang layunin mo ay MANAKOT. Magfocus ka dun. Ask yourself, as a reader, ano ba 'yung mga nakakatakot na bagay para sa'yo? Then ask yourself again, 'yun bang mga nakakatakot para sa akin ay nakakatakot rin para sa iba? Ayun lang.

2. Humor/Comedy

- What makes a story humorous? Characters talking like comedians? Silly scenes? Share your thoughts on humor stories.

TIP: Make your readers smile or laugh. Huwag gawing tanga ang bida para mapatawa ang mga readers kung hindi naman kailangan. Huwag masyadong maging korni, imbes na kasi maging katawa-tawa at katuwa-tuwa ang isang story, nakakainis na lang. Build p a funny character para maging light lang ang story at madala niya ito.

3. Paranormal

- What are Paranormal stories? Stories that describe experiences that lie outside the range of normal experience or scientific explanation. Examples include human characters that have been born with mind reading abilities or stories involving ghosts (not demons), souls, etc

TIP: Ang horror at paranormal ay magkaibang genre. Pero 'pag minsan, pwede silang magsama. Pwedeng paranormal lang siya pero nakakatakot ang dating or horror siya pero may halong paranormal. But please focus on Romance - Paranormal. Mas maigi kung hindi madala ang story mo sa horror genre. Topics about paranormal include psychokinesis, sensory perception, UFO/alien, werewolves and the like.

4. Fantasy

- What are Fantasy stories? Fantasies are often inspired by mythology and magic. Typical characters include fairies, demons, dragons, witches and wizards.

TIP: Vampire and Werewolves stories are not included here. Fantasy, alam niyo na 'yan haha. Basta tandaan na kahit fantasy ang genre, siguraduhing nagmamatch ang mga ideas niyo. Halimbawa, isang dragon ang bida niyo, tapos ibinubuga niya tubig? Mga ganung ka-OA-yan. Ang punto? Isunod sa nakasanayan at defined behaviors or history-based facts ang mga information niyo kahit fantasy ang genre niya.

5. Action

- What is an Action story? An action story is one where most of the plot developments are delivered at an exciting and fast pace. This category includes stories about Kung Fu, extreme sports such as rock climbing and stories about daring adventures.

TIP: Hindi naman kailangan talaga 'yung sobrang ma-aksiyon dahil may Romance siyang kasama. Pero expected na may mga fighting scenes or sports. Isang madaling example pero cliche na story? About gangsters, hoodlums, bad boy meets good girl.

6. Mystery/Thriller

- What is a Mystery/Thriller story? A Mystery is a puzzle or a secret that is solved by characters in the story. Clever plotting, interesting clues, detective reasoning skills? All of these are important elements. Similarly, Thriller stories involve a threat or imminent danger that must be overcome or resolved and often involves mysterious elements.

TIP: Huwag gawing horror ang genre na ito. Ibang-iba siya dito. Pwedeng mystery lang, pwedeng thriller lang. Pero much better if both.

7.  Adventure

- What is an Adventure story? It involves an exciting and often risky task that the main character must successfully complete. Though the hero is often in dangerous situations, the character is more likely to use his/her wits and ingenuity to outsmart an enemy than resort to violence.

TIP: Pwede kahit anong klaseng adventure. Halimbawa, about sa paglalakbay, about sa mga certain places na napupuntahan, or about sa adventure ng buhay. Basta kelangan mapanindigan ang ROMANCE-ADVENTURE genre. :)
