Chapter 5

The next day I went to work normally and got a call from my office.

"Hello?"

"Hello Ms. Valentine this is Mr. Hunt's assistant, Mr. Hunt wants to set up a meeting with you tomorrow morning," his assistant said with a bit of nervousness in his voice.

"Tell Mr. Hunt I'm not interested and I have a full schedule" I replied and hanged up.

"What did Kyle wanted?"

"A meeting" I scoffed "well you have to tell him one day" Priscilla shrugged and gave me a stack of papers to sign

"What is this?" I asked shocked

"A bunch of consent forms, blueprints, payments, employee resumes." she smiled while I silently cry "it will be gone when you start signing, bye" she left me with the stack of papers to suffer

I went to visit my mom again but she wasn't in her room

"Excuse me do you know where Christie Valentine she's my mom"

"Christie Valentine was sent to the OR and hour ago after she opened her eyes and started coughing up blood so we're helping her breath better and clear her airway" she smiled and I nodded and waited in the waiting room.

45 minutes passed and a doctor walked up then sat down next to me

"Hi I'm Doctor Davis your mother is resting now would you like to see her? " he asked and I nodded

My mom was there looking around until her eyes met mines I forgot what color were her eyes. I went and hugged her tight.

"I'm so glad your okay, I missed you"

"Well I'm glad I'm back then" she laughed

"Ms. Valentine you can be released tomorrow morning, have a nice evening" the Doctor smiled and left

"I'll get your room ready and someone to pick you up by then" I smiled

"See you tomorrow," she said as I walked out and called my driver to pick me up.

That's when I looked up and saw him standing across the street on the phone in Star Bucks. My eyes were filled with anger and I was about to go there and give him a piece of my mind but a lady from the press came up to me and asked questions. I looked up to see if he was there but he wasn't.
