irony of the sea

She was a soul curious about the sea and it's mysteries
She knew the sea was dangerous so she quit gazing at it
He was a boy in love with saving her He knew she was curious about the sea and he took her there
But he was the only one that could save her from drowning
What an irony!

He pushed her into the sea without realizing it and held unto her hand and promised not to let go
He thought he was saving her has he kept encouraging her to face her fears
He promised not to let go no matter what
The waves came she slipped a little, then the tide came and tore her hand away from his
He gave up and just let go

She fell into the sea but she didn't give up
She held on to his promise so she kept swimming
Waiting for him to save her eventually
Seconds passed, minutes passed, hours passed
The current grew and she was too tired to swim on
She finally accepted he wasn't coming back
so she stopped swimming and let go
She drowned in the sea

The announcement of her drowning reached him,  he cried about it
first he blamed her that she didn't swim more
Then he blamed time claiming he was going to eventually going to go back to save her but the time wasn't right
He was sad he didn't believe that she was gone
He always told himself a little more time she won't drown yet another excuse to kill the guilt of letting go
But now it was too late
He could make wishes but they wou ld never come true
He could have thoughts that would never come true
He could only imagine if he had held on till the sea was calm maybe she wouldn't drown and be lost from him forever.

About
It is about a rocky relationship I couldn't find a better word for challenges than to compare it with the sea
