"Right lemme just set out the rules and regulations now before you girls start crying." I rolled my eyes as Tayo stood in front of us as we sat on the grass.
Can you believe that the boys actually got a large clipboard from the study room and drew out a plan. I raised a hand to block out the sun from where I was sitting next to Stephanie, Rochelle and another girl from their college. Theodore locked eyes with me and I watched as he ran his tongue along his teeth, winking at me. I press my lips together trying to contain my smile as I winked back at him.
"You two are so cringe." Faith muttered from behind me.
I turned to see her sitting in-between David's legs with her beloved sunglasses on.
"You wanna talk about cringe?" I say shocked looking back and forth between her and David. They both leaned back and laughed.
"Alright, sorry." She raised her hands in defence and I laughed.
"Right so it's boys against girls obviously." Tayo pointed his hand to the section of paper where he had drawn a d*ck and a circle which I think was supposed to be a v*gina. "The area permitted is from the big gazebo all the way to the fence there." He pointed to the back of the garden which was quite a bit away. "I will now hand you over to Theo."
We all laughed at how serious they were taking this. They must think that this is some Kim Possible mission. I was ready to start this war. Susan was in my line of vision.
"There are quite a lot of us so even though it's boys against girls, we're still going to split into small groups. I have water bottles, guns and buckets." Theodore showed us the collection on the floor. I ran my eyes over him and smiled. He was in his vest top, shorts and snapback looking delicious. "There are no time outs and water is accessible from the hose over there. There's also no limit to how many times you can get someone and this is a fun game so no fights or tears ya zimmie? Over to you Tayo."
I sighed and picked on the grass laughing with Stephanie.
"These two are actually moving long. It's not that deep." Stephanie muttered.
"You know!" I agreed.
"Girls lemme tell you now, us man are gonna be reckless so no complaining about your weave getting wet. Now is the time to get your headscarf's or shower caps if necessary. I think that's it. The game is gonna start in about ten minutes once we sort out who gets what." They finished.
Rochelle raised her hand.
"Yes, Roch?"
"Even though its girls against boys, can you wet another girl from a different group?" she asked taking it right out my mouth.
"If you want, but I don't see why you would want to." Tayo shrugged.
I had a few reasons...
"Can we start now?" Mario sighed. I looked back at him and laughed. He was definitely the rudest out the group. I still couldn't get over what he had said to Tayo on the bus the other day.
"Yeah, chat amongst yourselves, we're gonna fill up."
Me and the girls stood up and decided to form a group. It was me, Steph, Rochelle, Faith, Theodore's cousin Chanel and some girl from Theodore's college called Jasmine. The other girl group was Susan, her two friends Lola and Deborah, and two other girls from my college Grace and Shayan. The girls outweighed the boys as there was only Theodore, Tayo, David, Mario, Josh, Marques, and two of their cousins. They decided to be one group. I knew they split up the girls because Theodore knew that I didn't like Susan.
I watched as Susan smiled and walked behind Tayo giving him a hug. Theodore was next to them filling a bucket with water. Tayo turned around and smiled at her hugging her tight. His eyes shifted down to her body and he leaned forward and said something in her ear making her laugh. Theodore finally stood up and turned to see her. She grinned at him and flung her arms around his neck.
