Mitch’s POV
I had just sprung the recording news on Emily; the look on her face was priceless, when we were talking at the diner she told us she played Xbox minecraft so I got the idea to make a video on it, she had given me her Xbox live name and she was my friend, I set up my capture card and linked Emily, myself, Jason and Jerome into an Xbox live call,
“Jerome are you recording this too?” I asked as I put my headset on,
“Yeah buddy,” his voice was not shrill, it was friendly, I was expecting there to be an evil twang to it but there wasn’t, he must’ve been putting it on for Emily,
“Cool, are you Jason?”
“Yeah my capture card is all set up,”
“Sweet, you ready Emily?”
“Almost, just let me sort out my headset, it’s being a douche bag again,” while we were waiting Emily explained to Jerome and Jason what was on her map, “Ok, I’m all done,”
“Ok guys, I’ll do the intro,” I suggested
“3…2…1… Hey what’s up doods it’s Mitch or bajancanadian and today I’m here with Jerome, Jason and mah belle Emily, and today we’re here for another Xbox minecraft video,” I started
“So we’re actually on Emily’s server today so we’ll be doing what she says,” Jerome interrupted,
“Hello! So because I built this map I know it inside out, and by now you’ve probably worked out that it’s a parkour map, so today we will spend about 1 hour of our life jumping around from block to block all for your entertainment,” Emily said excitedly, “And also I don’t mean to brag but I am a Redstone genius, this map is ridden with Redstone, repeaters, lamps and all sorts of other stuff, and just so you know I spent about a week just building the first area so I swear if you break any Redstone I will hunt you down and murder you,” she took a deep breath
“Whoa, it’s ok we won’t break anything, or we’ll try not to at least,”
Jason joked, we all started on game mode C because there were some pretty long drops on the map,
“So just have fun,” Emily finished,
“3…2…1…GO!” Jerome shouted, everyone except Emily set off running,
“I’ll give you a head start because I know this map inside out,”
“We don’t need your charity… crap I fell,” Jerome replied,
“Told you so…” We sprung from block to block falling numerous times, but after 30 seconds Emily set off, sprinted flawlessly across the four block jumps and instantly got onto the ladder jumps,
“C’mon guys we’re being beaten…By a girl…At minecraft!” I beckoned, we spent 25 minutes 37 seconds recording plus the intro, and all four of us finished the map,
“Thanks everyone for watching, make sure to slap dat like button with your forehead, check out Jerome’s and Jason’s channel…”
“And mine!” Emily interrupted,
“You have a channel,” I was astonished she hadn’t told me,
“Yeah, I just didn’t tell you,” she sounded smug,
“Mph, and take care,” I ended the video, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I don’t have a minecraft you tube channel I have a…” she trailed off,
“You have a what channel?” she paused for a bit,
“I can’t tell you, it’s embarrassing.” She sounded embarrassed; it couldn’t be that bad,
“Anyway guys I’m gonna go to bed because I’m beat,” Jason said with a yawn, I looked at the clock, 11:47,
“God, I didn’t realize it got that late,” I replied,
“Yeah, I think I’m gonna hit the hay too guys… and gal,” I heard Emily giggle over the line,
“Well, I’m gonna stay online for a bit and add some stuff to this map before I put it up for download,” Emily added
“Yeah, well see you guys tomorrow,” Jason disconnected, “See you tomorrow too guys,” Jerome disconnected too,
“So Mitch, when are we going to the woods, and how are we going to get there?” she sounded smug
“Oh, I’ll pick you up at 12 and drive us down,” I said trying to match her tone,
“Well, if you’re gonna try to copy me like that then maybe it would be better to Skype than Xbox chat,”
“Fine,” we set up our Skype’s again and connected,
“Well then how are you doing Mitchell?”
“Fine thank you,” I matched her tone again and she raised an eyebrow at me,
“So actually while you’re here I could use some advice on something,” she stood up and walked out of the camera frame,
“Sure, what on?” she came back with a guitar and an iPad, She slid back the lock and typed a code in, she then put the iPad down and I saw the screensaver,
“Can I see your screensaver?” she looked at me worried,
“S- sure,” she twisted the iPad around to face the camera; it was a picture of me and her cheek to cheek with a black screen behind us,
“Where was that taken?” she looked at me mortified,
“Hello, at last year’s minecon,” I remembered the black screen behind the meet and greet booth, but I couldn’t remember meeting Emily, even though she looked exactly the same in the picture as she did now,
“A lot of girls go to minecon, I can’t remember all of them,” she rolled her eyes at me then strummed her guitar, then she fiddled around with her iPad again, went onto an app and pause a video,
“I need your advice on a song I’ve been writing,” My spirit was suddenly lifted, “I play multiple instruments so I created a fully developed background and I just have to record the guitar and the vocals and I’m done, I just wanted your opinion on it,”
“Sure, go when you’re ready,” I quickly opened a fraps recording setup and started it just before she started to play, she pressed play on her iPad and it began with a piano solo, then she began playing her guitar.
