I was seating in a booth at Applebee's as I took out my phone fixing my hair and lip stick .
"Can I start you off with a drink while you wait ma'am ?"
"Y-yes please . Can I get a Sprite ."
"Yes ma'am ."
I don't know why I was so nervous to meet her . I mean , she's basically me .
See , I not too long ago found out my dad had a whole other life . I don't know anything about her and I forgot her name so Im screwed to be honest . I just hope she likes me . Never really had siblings since Im the only child .
I finally got my Sprite as I grabbed my phone and took a deep sigh . The anticipation was killing me .

As soon as I was about to reply , I felt a tap on my shoulder making me jump .
"Im sorry , I didn't mean to scare you . . . Are you Kalyn ?" , she asked saying my name wrong .
I smiled . "Yes but its pronounced Kay-Lyn ."
"Ohh . Im sorry ." , she giggled taking a seat . "It's nice to meet you Kalyn ."
"You too ." , I said shyly as she shook my hand .
"So um . . . . Wow , I don't even know were to start ."
"Same ..." , I say as we sat in silence for a bit .
"So we have the same daddy ?"
"Uh , y-yea . . . When did you find out ?"
"Last week . All you could hear was my mami calling him a perro sucio !" , she said as we laughed . "Ohhh , mami knows espanol ?"
"Sólo un poco , pero ahora veo por que papi hizo un punto para enseñarmelo ." , I replied as she looked at me highly impressed .
"Okaaay sis !"
"Thank you ." , I giggled . "So , ummm ."
"Amora , Its Amora ."
That's her name !
"I feel like shit , forgot my own sisters name ."
"Your good , hell I couldn't even pronounce yours !"
"Yea .. So do you have any brothers or sisters ?"
"Nope , only child but I do have alot of aunts so I claim them as sisters . You ?"
I chuckled . Daddy knew what he was doing . "Only child along with my mother so little family ."
"Must suck ."
"It does ."
She grabbed my hand across the table .
"I know its a little late to be sissy and all but I want us to be close ."
"Same ."
My smile was so big it hurt .
"So tell me about yourself sis ."
"Okay , umm . Im Kay . Im 18 , Im actually attending St. John's University right now hoping to major in Photography , live on my own . My mom is author ... oh , and Im a lesbian . I have a beautiful girlfriend ."
She smiled .
"Im Amora , 19 , Im attending DeVry College , plan on becoming a LVN , I have a boyfriend , names Safaree , and my moms a Mexican lunatic ."
We both shared a laugh . That name was so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it . . . Oh well .

I sat in my livingroom with Lour in my lap as we watched Bubble Guppies .
"You wanna eat eat baby ?" , I asked as she nodded her head .
I set her down headed to the kitchen till my phone rang .
"Hello ?" , I answered dryly .
"You okay Nic ?" , she asked .
"Im fine baby , just tired ."
"So me and my sisters meet went well ! She's cool people ! I even told her about my awesome girlfriend ."
I pressed my lips together knowing were this was headed .
"Thats good Kay ."
"You know , I would love for-"
"Kalyn , baby I promise . I will tell everyone about us you just have to give me time ."
I heard her take a deep sigh . "Okay , whatever ."
"No , don't start that ."
"And if i do ?" , she inquired .
"Just don't ."
I heard her giggle .
"Yooo , I fell asleep in class and had a dream about you ."
"Please share Kay ." , I said taking a seat next to Lour as I handed her the bowl of chips .
"We was fuckin' in your car and th-"
"Kaaayy ?!?! Your on speaker phone !"
"So ."
"Lourdes is here ."
"Hi ." , Lolo said not even knowing Whats going on .
"Ohh , Im sorry ! .... I wanna meet my step child one day !" , she giggled making me do the same .
"I wanna wait a bit before she's exposed to you ."
"I understand ."
Before I could even reply , I heard the front door unlock and in walked Safaree .
"Lemme call you later Kay ."
I stuffed the phone in my sweatpants pocket and stood up with Lourdes in my arms .
"Hey."
He was silent . Ugh . He came over to me and took Lour as I snatched her back .
"Why are you even doing this childish ass shit ?!" , I shouted .
"Ion feel like arguing nic ."
"Well lets talk .... Safaree , I get it . We both had feelings for each other at one point , probably still do but we've got a baby to raise together . Im tired of the petty arguments ."
"Look , I do apologize . I needed you and I guess I got mad because you weren't there ."
"Im sorry for not being there . You know I love you ."
"I love you too ."
I put Lourdes Down as I wrapped my arms around his neck higging him tight . We shared a kiss as he let go .
"Can I call you tonight ?"
"Of course Faree . . . I'll be here ."
"Thank you ."
