Some of you seem to have pretty strong views on how wattpad has decided to respond to our campaign.
Many of you seem to think that wattpad easily added new categories for example vampire/werewolf while retaining the supernatural category. These categories are among the mpst popular on the site.
I am aware that vampire and werewolf stories are two very different things and people can be a fan of one and not the other, which lead to the idea to make two seperate categories.
So...
why cant we have an lgbtqia category? Do we still want one? Are we happy with going to the 'discover' section and trailing through stories by choosing vampire then searching the many different tags lgbt people use to try and find a story?
We cant search the 'hot,new,undescoverd' which is a priviledge for those who follow a genre that is represented by a category on wattpad.
The stories are out there but they are being left behind, unrecognised and unpromoted.
we are #3 in non fiction apearently.
