My Brother's Best Friend

Christmas day

I woke with a small smile on my face. I climbed out of bed and walked downstairs. Since that day, Quinn only comes over when Carter isn't here. She told me she doesn't want anything to do with him and she's completely done. I got downstairs and saw breakfast on the table. "Merry christmas Sinead." Rena said. "Merry christmas." I replied then sat next to Luna. We greeted each other then started eating.

Carter soon came down and I didn't say anything to him. What he did was flat out disrespectful. "Good morning." He said and I rolled my eyes. I finished eating and put my dishes in the sink. I walked into the living room and sat down. "How are you holding up?" My dad asked. "I'm slowly getting better, I'm still a little traumatized though." I said. "I understand and it'll get better." He said and I nodded.

A couple minutes later I was joined by my family and we started opening gifts. In my family its tradition to let the elders open their presents first and let the children open theirs last. When I was younger I hated that tradition because my family was huge and they'd take forever to open their gifts. But this year its different because I'm in a group with the young adults.

After everyone opened theirs I called my friends so we could do our girf exchange. I got a laptop from my dad, band merchandize that came from Carter, books from Rena, and makeup from Luna. Once my friends got here I handed out mine first.

I got Quinn a really pretty leather jacket from forever 21, Amber hair products, Harper something I found online, Adrian a football jersey, Ryan new sunglasses, and For Julian I got him tickets to see chance the rapper. They all thanked me then I started to recieve mine. I got things like sunglasses, more makeup, books, painting supplies and a nice hoodie. Julian got me a necklace with a 'J' on it then he showed me his wrist that has a tattooed 'S' on it.

I gaped at the sight of the tattoo. "Aren't those permanent?" I asked. "Technically yeah, but you can get them removed." Adrian said. "Oh, we're y'all there with him?" I asked and the boys nodded. I just sat there. I mean I'm so surprised. Julian has never given a girl more than a hookup or a relationship in which he cheats. He has a tattoo on his wrist of my first initial. I can't even explain my emotions right now. I don't if I should be happy or upset.

"Sin, say something." Amber said. "I...Um..I love you so much Julian." I said then we kissed. Carter walked in and the guys greeted him. "Look Quinn, I just want to say I'm deeply sorry, I did not mean what I said I just said anything because I was mad, I know it hurt you and it was a really low blow, Quinn I love you." He said. An 'awh' slipped out of my mouth and I quickly covered it up. The room was silent. We were waiting on Quinn to say something but she was just sitting there.

"I love you too Carter." She said then they hugged. I smiled because they are a really good couple and they make each other so happy. One thing I can say about our relationships is that its deeper than lust, its actual love. I mean Julian and I only had sex once and he's still with me. After Quinn's and Carter's little reunion we decided to go out for lunch.

I walked upstairs and got in the shower and washed my body. I put on a black top and my new hoodie I slipped on my jeans and my converse. I put my hair in a bun then grabbed my phone. I walked back downstairs then we left. We piled into Carter's suv then he drove off.

We got to a diner and got out. After we were seated we started looking for what to eat. "Sinead, when's the next time you're going to Ireland?" Julian asked. "I don't probably summer break why?" I asked. "I wanna come." He said. "Really?" I replied. "Yeah." He said. I smiled. He wants to see where I come from and my heritage. I'd like to go to Italy to meet his grandparents and see the famous landmarks.

The waitress came over and we ordered our food and drinks. She left and we carried on with our conversation. It was mainly about the rest of the school year. You know things like the valentines day ball, and spring formal, also the guy's graduation. It still kinda hurts that Julian is leaving me and I'm jealous that he's going with a girl. I still haven't met this Katie girl and I know he's talking to her. I'll bring that up another day.

The waitress came back with our food and we began eating. My meal is amazingly good. After we finished we paid the bill then went back to my house. I can't wait to spend some alone time with Julian.

Hiya!!! How are you guys??? I hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry I haven't updated since the 15th I had a lot on, but I'm managing my time and working on the ending of the book (which should be out August 12th)
