"Luke are you alright? Jesus, you're freezing!" You say as he wrapped his strong arms around you from behind. You worriedly pressed the back of your hand to his forehead, expecting him to be burning up. Instead his skin was dry and freezing, along with the rest of his body upon further inspection. Who knows maybe it was you instead, who's temperature was jacked up, making him feel cold against your heated flesh. After placing the backs of your hands against your forehead you realized your temperature was fine. normal. no fever. Something wasn't right though and you knew it. Luke nodded his head as he mumbled an excuse about the cold breeze and that you were overreacting. He quickly pointed out a huge constellation just above your head in attempt to distract you which seemed to work momentarily as you forgot the matter and began staring at the sky above in awe at all of its stars. Stargazing had become one of yours and Luke's favorite couple activities in recent days. The full bright moon and shimmering stars lit up the entire balcony. Your eyes continued to scan the spanse of sky and it's endless population of stars. "Hey! Look, this star up here is-" You began pointing and talking, looking back at your boyfriend with a smile. Your words however were cut off by a loud gasp that left your mouth. His touch became increasingly colder and his typical soft baby blue eyes were now a bright golden matte color. But that's not why you'd gasped. His canines were hugely prominent and jutting out of his mouth like fangs. He brought his hand up to stroke your cheek and you flinched at the icy contact. His mouth dropped into a frown as he watched your reaction. "Babe, are you afraid of me?" He asked, his voice laced with hurt. You stood there, unresponsive, while your brain attempted to make something of the situation at hand. This wasn't real. No, no it couldn't be. This was something out of a book or movie. These kinds of things don't exist in reality. But they do. He does. Your boyfriend, Luke. Is a vampire. "Please don't leave me now." He begged, loosely grabbing your wrist as you stepped back from him. You attempted to shake your head from this nightmare, this nightmare that Luke was a vampire. A creature whom feeds off of human blood. And yet he stands in front of you. Begging you not to leave him. He then wrapped his arms Around your waist in attempt to steady you against him and close the gap between you two. Upon staring into each others eyes deeply in silence, you discovered that in the sea of gold that is his eye color, there were flecks of his natural baby blue and even a slight hint of lilac throughout them. Although he was a blood sucking monster, he still managed to pull off some sort of innocent harmlessness. It was then you knew there was no way you could leave him.
