Dear Kamita,

I had an epiphany.

You were a strange one, but I liked you. If you didn't leave back then, I would have forced to pursue the friendship even if you didn't want to. You had known how aggressive I was as a kid--- you wouldn't have been able to say No

I couldn't do that now if we'd met today instead of back then. I now lack the courage and open honesty only an innocent child can have.

I'd rather hide and forget.

The next abuse to my heart happened a few months after I learned who you were. Or rather what you were.

I had whined for a few days and my best friends had of course called me off.

Ruyu had told me I was a hypocrite. Gene had insisted I was an idiot just because he didn't know another word for it and asked me what "hypocrite" meant. I had told him to ask help from Mr. Webster and the idiot had searched for all Webster surnames at the residential directory.

Damn though if that didn't make him adorable. He's so stupid I wanted to hit him and at the same time give him the hugest embrace for being idiotically cute.

Still, it was because of them that I had finally found a way to get to know one of my first friends. they had given me the idea. I had followed your career. I had searched for every news about you online and even joined online forums using pseudonyms. Pseudonyms had always made me feel safer, braver; giving me the courage to do anything I couldn't have done if I were simply... Ateera.

I had been surprised about a few facts most especially the story about how you were scouted at the age of 10 while you were buying your favorite flavored drink at a conbini---

Until I had learned the reason why you had gotten the role (I'm sorry but you were really ugly back then) .

Anyway, the casting staff had needed a thin boy who looked ordinary as the lead man would grow into a totally hot guy and there you were, just there, clueless and available.

That role had pioneered your career and as you grew up and coincidentally turned from an ordinary-looking boy to a hot young man, well... you've been busy since.

Ruyu had started researching about you too and since he's more patient and thorough, he had found a link to an interesting interview of yours in one of the forums I didn't lurk into. He had forced me to look at it.

I'm glad I had let him.

Ateera was surprised to see Gene and Ruyu waiting for her at the gates, their black uniform standing out among a sea of light and dark blue ones. She tried to hide her smirk as she saw the uncomfortable look on Gene's face and the icy glare Ruyu's wearing. Her bestfriends were surrounded by a group of giggly girls, which she recognized as the In-Crowd or the cliché group of girls who think they're the most popular. Ateera doesn't have a problem with them. Melanie and her friends are friendly to everyone including her. Still, the group is known for their powerful guy-grabbing claws and it's obvious they're trying these claws on her boy friends.

"Who told them to show themselves anyway?" Ateera muttered as she made her way towards them. She could have watched for a few more seconds, but Ruyu looked like he's going to tear the hair of the nearest girl. Ateera hope it'll be Amanda's. Amanda's really kind and all, but her voice is too cute and too sweet it makes Ateera want to pull out her voice box.

Ruyu saw her first and the relief on his face was obvious. His tense posture relaxed a little, which made Gene notice. He followed Ruyu's gaze and when his eyes fell on her, he finally showed that familiar smile.
