After an hour, I had finally finished explaining everything,  he now just stood there for a moment, looking at me as he processed it all.

“That must have been a hard life to go through,” He mumbled to me. I just shrugged and replied,

“Yeah, well. What can you do?” I said. “After all if you are born into that kind of place were that was all you knew, it becomes a normal thing to you and you learn how to deal with it and keep moving forward.” I finished as I looked back up at him. He just shook his head slowly,

“But still, that is a hard life to live,” He replied back to me. I didn’t know what else to do besides just shrug it off again,

“Yeah well, what about you? What is your little secret?” I questioned. He looked at me for a moment before smiling some,

“I don’t know what your talking about,” He chuckled, looking away from me now amusement laced in his eyes.

“Of course you do, you know what I’m talking about.” I said as I brought my hand up and touched my lips. “You have sharp teeth, and your eyes change to a blood color.” After I had spoken his smiled faded as he turned back to me, he just gazed at me with pain filled eyes.

“I’m a monster, that’s all there is to it.” He said with a serious face. “I’ve killed people before to, but not with a gun. I’ve been drove to the maximum lust for blood, all the way up to the point were I couldn’t control myself. That’s why I reacted the way I did today, you can’t imagine how hard it was to control myself. Young innocent girls blood always smells the best, I’m surprised on how I was able to resist. Most of my kind don’t, and just end up slaughtering everyone who witnessed.” He whispered to me, his eyes not leaving mine as he told me this. It made my heart ache with sorrow from the way he was looking at me. I just couldn’t help but blurt out,

“Are you a vampire?” He looked at me with shock slapped all over his face from my sudden out burst. Then after a second he broke out into a loud laughter, his head bowed down some as he did so. Finally after a few minutes he gain control over his self again and looked back up at me,

“No, I’m a fairy,” He said to me with a straight face. I stared blankly at him, trying to process that he was a so called ‘fairy.’

“Excuse me?”

“I said, I’m a fairy.” He said, this time he couldn’t keep a straight face. I could tell he was trying to force a smile back, I stared at him with annoyed eyes.

“I see, so you’re an Edward Cullen vampire?” I question, he just busted into laughter again and shook his head at me.

“Why do you still think I’m a vampire?” He laughed. I just frowned at him.

“Cause you are, aren’t you.” He just smiled goofy at me in response.

“Maybe I am,”

“I know you are,”

“Fine, I give. I am a vampire. And no I’m not an ‘Edward Cullen’ vampire either. I was kidding about the whole fairy thing.” He chuckled, his eyes brightening and returning to their normal self that I was used to seeing.

“Did you think I was stupid enough to fall for that?” I asked him.

“No, I just wanted to make a joke to lighten the mood.” He replied to me as he smirked. I just rolled my eyes in return.

“Who would have thought vampires were real,” I huffed to myself.

“Me,” Remarked Cole. I glared at him and said,

“Well of course you would, you are one.”

Exactly,” He said as he gazed at me. I just returned his gaze, curious on why he just stopped talking and decided to stare at me.

“Your not afraid?” He whispered softly to me, finally breaking the silence. I studied him for a moment, thinking about this question. I didn’t really have a reason to be afraid of him, he was always kind to me even though he loved to annoy me and pick on me. He hasn’t really given me a reason to be scared of him, not even today when his eyes started changing and his fangs came out because of how thirsty and blood lust he had been. But even then he had made me stay away from him, he still protected me from him even though I knew it was probably really hard for him to hold back from tearing my throat open.

“I’m not afraid of you,” I whispered to him. “I know you wont harm me,” He stared at me, allowing to have what I just told him to process through his mind. Suddenly his eyes filled with so much emotion that I couldn’t tell what it was he was feeling cause it switch so fast, until they finally rested with the emotion of relief in them.

“You don’t know how much that means to me,” He whispered, his gaze staying connected to mine.

“And you don’t know how much it meant to me to have you listen to everything I had to say, and for you to not judge me for it. Instead you decided to stay by my side, and that’s all I ever wanted someone to do.” I whispered back. “All I ever wanted was to have someone stand by me and not leave even when they found out my dark secrets.” I added. He smiled a warm smile at me,

“You...didn’t leave my side either,” He chuckled lightly.  I couldn’t help but smile back and laugh softly.

“No, I didn’t. Did I? Looks like were not that much different,” I said to him.

“No, it doesn’t seem like it, does it?” He whispered as his smile still played at his lips, but his eyes were now staring deeply into mine. Suddenly I got lost in looking at his beautiful, stupid eyes. Eyes that had caught my attention the moment I had first saw him. Eyes I knew held as many secrets as mine did. Eyes I knew would never betray me, and would always be here for me. Before I knew what we were doing, we had both leaned in, his warm lips soon crashing against mine. I brought my hands up and gently ran them through his hair, my lips moving in a rhythm against his. My heart beat faster by the second, my skin crawled in new sensations as his lips moved against mine.

We stayed like that for a few moments, till finally we broke apart and stared into each others eyes. Then, as if on cue, we both busted out into laughter. Smiling at each other like we were idiots. He brought his hand up and ran it through my hair, soon pulling my head back down towards him, gently pushing his lips back to mine. I closed my eyes as I savored the warmth of his lips. But soon he broke away and looked back at me.

“You should get some rest, it’s been a pretty long day.” He said to me, I just simply nodded at him and agreed. Realizing how tried I actually was.

“Okay,” I said before jumping off the counter and pulling myself away from him, then heading towards my room to change and sleep.
