Stars in the Sky

"We were told to stay put. Stay millions of miles away from our home. They told us it would be the greatest sacrifice to ever be made. We would be found in all the stars, literally and figuratively." I looked out the window and saw the stars shining brightly, just as always.

"You see that star?" I said, holding my sister in my arms. "Your grandma was the bravest woman ever. She made it to the moon." My sister giggled in her little five-year-old voice, and nodded. I knew that she would be proud.

"Why is gran-ma not famous then?" She asked, and I pointed to another star.

"You see that star?" She nodded, and I could tell she was drifting off to sleep. "That's Neil. He took the credit when grandma didnt come back."

"Why?"

"Because grandpa wanted to make sure that no one that didn't deserve it took credit for what they did."
