Chapter 17

As I stared at James in silence, my thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of knocking at the front door.

" I'll get that" I said as I walked to the door.

" I'll go " James said and he walked away and back up the stairs.

I opened the door and Ben was standing infront of me smiling, I smiled back.

" Hey" he said to me.

" Hey" I replied smiling.

I stepped outside and closed the door behind me, locking it as I did.

" You look nice" he said to me.

" Thanks, you too. lets go" I replied and he held my hand and we walked over to his car, he opened the door for me and I got inside and he walked around to the drivers side and got in.

" Nice car" I said to him as he began to drive away.

" Thanks, I spent ages saving for it" He replied.

" So where are we going?" I asked him.

" It's still a surprise" he answered.

" Ok, I like surprises" I smiled and went along.

" So what kind of music do you like?" Ben asked.

" I like all types of music, but I just love anything new and kind of creative, something never heard before" I answered.

" Awesome, my top 3 would have to be Eminem, Lil Wayne and Oh.. um.... I can't pick a third!" Ben laughed.

" Haha cool, my brother likes Lil Wayne" I said.

" Yeah! how old is your brother?" Ben asked.

" He's 20" I replied.

" So are you older?" Ben asked.

" No, haha, I'm 17" I replied.

" What?!? you look way more mature than 17!" Ben exclaimed.

" Ha, I am the much more mature sibling. How old are you anyway?" I asked.

" 20 " he replied.

" Well you don't look 20!" I exclaimed.

" I'm going to take that as a compliment" Ben joked. I laughed and smiled.

A few moments later he stopped the car, " We're here," Ben said.

" Nice" I said as I checked out the restaurant.

I stepped out of the car and Ben and I walked inside. It was a very nice,but casual resturant and It wasn't too busy.We were seated at a table for two in the beautiful outdoor seating area.

" This is beautiful" I said to Ben.

" Yeah, I hoped you would like it" Ben said as he smiled.

" Ready to order?" the waiter asked.

" Can I please have the Ceasar Salad" I answered.

" I'll have the steak and chips" Ben said and we handed back the menus.

" I love your accent" Ben said to me.

" I love yours, it's so... American" I replied.

" Hehe, your cute" Ben said. I smiled and blushed.

Ben and I really got to know eachother, I found out that he works 2 jobs to help support his Mum and younger sister, that he loves animals and he loves music, not one thing he told me was bad, he was the perfect guy. But in the back of my mind, I wasn't thinking about Ben or this date, I was thinking about James.....
