Rule Twenty Seven
Away From His Sight

Summer’s POV

As usual, our morning started with Spear throwing up in the toilet. Sinundan ko siya at nagbasa ng towel para ipunas sa mukha niya to calm him down. Pinanood ko siyang sumuka. Napailing ako. “It’s getting worst, baby…”

I held his hand and my other caressed his bare back. Nakaugalian na talaga niyang matulog ng topless na hindi ko naman alam kung bakit. But it is comforting for me though. Warm kasi ang katawan niya kapag yumayakap sa akin. Instant heater ko siya sa gabi.

“Baby, is your tummy getting bigger? I just thought about it. We’ve been on it for three months. I’ve been throwing up for almost two months now.”

Yumuko ako para i-tsek ang tyan ko. May baby bump na ako na lalong lumalaki sa bawat araw na dadaan. “Well, yeah. Your little precious is making himself visible. Siguro gusto ka niyang i-comfort. Gusto niyang ipaalam sa ‘yo na nagbubunga ang paghihirap mo.”

He smiled. He turned to me pagkatapos ay hinaplos ang belly ko where the little bulge is starting to grow. “Now, little thing. I won’t mind throwing up every morning for you. But go easy on Mom okay? I’m suffering because I don’t want her to suffer. If you’ll behave badly inside her I’ll punish you with kisses everyday of your growing life once you’re out. Are we clear?”

Natawa ako sa kanya. As if namang maririnig siya ng bata. He looked at me with a radiant smile plastered on his lips. “I love you, baby. I love the both of you.”

Napangiti ako. Ikinulong ko ang mukha niya sa loob ng palad ko at dinampian ng halik ang tungki ng ilong niya. “I love you, too. I’ll always do.”

Inilapat niya ang mga labi niya sa labi ko. I’m silently praying that no one will ruin this moment. Napapadalas kasi ang pagsugod ng Beta at ng Omega ni Spear dito sa kwarto kapag pumapatak ang alas sais ng umaga. So what Spear have to do cannot be done because they are here, chattering with us.

Every twist and turns of his head and his mouth, the electrifying sparks, I can’t believe I can feel them. Overwhelming. One proof that mine and Spear’s bond are getting stronger and tighter for everyday that passes by.

It was just this one thing that I’ll have to be scared of.

Mates’ bond are extremely crucial once created. It will get stronger and stronger until they can’t live without each other anymore. I mean literally. Hindi na napaghihiwalay ang mga mated. When they separate and the bond is implausibly strong, it will lead to frustration and depression.

May mga taong-lobo na akong nakilala na nagpakamatay dulot ng pangungulila sa mga mates nila. It is that crucial.

Sana walang mangyaring gano’n. I know both Spear and I wouldn’t survive without each other. Especially him. I don’t want to lose Spear. I love him too much.
