A negative mood swing is when your mood drastically changes randomly. These can be very stressful and inconvenient. However, here are some preventative and coping tips that have helped me prevent these mood swings at home or in a public setting.
At Home
Step One: Splash cold water on your face
Step Two: Take 10 deep breaths
Step Three: Think about something happy or that you enjoy
Step Four: Repeat a mantra or a saying 5 times
Public Setting
Step One: Take 10 deep breaths
Step Two: Think about something happy or that you enjoy
Step Three: Repeat a mantra or a saying 5 times (internally)
Step Four: Mentally put yourself back in the environment. You've got this.
