take me away
somewhere magical and warm
with sun and shadows and dapple
i'll even go on my own
take me away
my feet won't listen to me though and my pockets are empty
maybe a journey on a small quiet blue bus through the roads
with my earphones in as i look at the world through the slightly parted windows
sitting in the back, in a corner
take me away
somewhere i can sit outside in a crowded cafe in a sunny square or near the beach
with flowers and colours
adventure and wonder in the air
take me away
green trees and leaves and long dresses i can wear all day long
lounging by the pool at night
looking up to the stars
maybe an omelette in the morning at a busy breakfast
sleepy holiday mornings, buttered bread rolls in the morning and hot onion soup at night
take me away
by the wrist, with a nudge or send me right off,
i'll even go on my own, I just pray you let me go
i want to feel the air, wind, sun
in sandals and sunglasses
wandering
take me away before too much time passes
so it feels like music in my soul, fiction in my veins, magic in my life
