Rin

I didn't know how long I've been receiving multiple of emotions, But all I know is Kibō's the one prompting it.
Though I'm new to all of this, it's rather exciting knowing that there's new adventures everyday and with someone to enjoy it with. I mean, being here for almost a decade, what should I know?
"Rin-chan~" He hugged me from behind laughing "What's our next adventure?"

I silently shake my head with a smile. He would always ask that every single day. And ironic as it may seem, that's what I ask my self as well. Well, before he came into my life. It's been seven days since he first came here and as funny and weird as it may seem, he adjusted so quickly. It's almost amazing how he learned so much in a week. Snapping back to reality, I laughed "How about building a winter wonderland?" I asked and brought my tablet out. He nodded excitedly as I scribbled. How cute.

Riku

I stand before a one sided mirror. My breath began to turn to midst as I leaned my forehead against the cold material. People started pacing back and fort on the otherside. They seemed to be panicking. Asking my father for a favor shan't be a bad idea. Or shall I say otherwise. I asked if it were possible to scout for the pod. And after that, there was no further news. Unless ofcourse, their panicking because of Rin's pod.

I glanced down the papers in my hand. Unfolding it, the picture of Rin immediately popped into view. Crap. I must've mixed up my documents. Dumbfoundedly, I ran my fingers through my hair with an exhausted sigh "Back to the office it is". Then, I started walking my way out the door. Soon enough, I found myself out on dad's hallway. I was paranoid when I heard mellow shouting from his office.

Is there a problem?

I couldn't help but stop my tracks. Whatever it is their talking about, it isn't normal for father to get agitated. Ever since he got his position as the new "President", he finally got what he wanted whenever and wherever. Contented or not, everything goes the way he wanted things to go too. "Mister president," The voice sounded like the new general.

I don't understand... The general was father's former friend. They couldn't just fight---I mean, being in the army for more than a decade, fighting in battles were far more serious.

I wonder what could've cause it to occur. "Like I said before, being a scavenger is a laugh for my men. We trained them for fighting not hunting. I know that your son has requested such a task, but please," He sighed "Please do be knowledgable that if I sent my men out so willy milly, their lives might be on the line." My stomach turned at that. Guilt slowly taking control over my ego, I thought of it clearly now.

Right. Goddammit. Why didn't I think of that?!

I facepalmed at my dumbness. Flinching, a familiar voice peirced my ears. Involuntarily, I shook when I saw my father gritting his teeth.

Too late. I should've thought of that sooner. Now father's gonna freak.

"Your right. I suppose." My father surprisingly agrees "That cheapskate of a son of mine could've used that brain of his."

Wow. That helps a lot.

"But eitherway," He added "I'd like to get contacted with that pod. 'cause when your men can scout once, they can do it twice."
"But sir, the pod's distance have exceeded. Reaching out to more than our limit might tire out our men." The general seemed annoyed. Father for one,  seemed furious "Look, do you think anyone cared about that even before then?" He says loudly "Let's cut to the chase then shall we?"
I started turning nervous for some reason. No matter how quiet it was, tables kept on turning within their conversation "What is he talking about?" I asked myself confusingly.
