It’s late on a Saturday night and you are stuck in your room because you are grounded. Out of all times to be grounded it is on the one weekend that your boyfriend Riker and his family are in your city on tour.

Your parents are gone for the night and they took your keys so you can’t go anywhere so no fun for you.

Suddenly you hear a knock on your window. You walk over and open the curtain to find Riker hanging onto your window like Spider-Man. You open the window and help him in, but he still tumbles onto your floor.

"Goodness gracious, Riker are you trying to get yourself killed?” You scold, helping him up. He gives you a hug and a kiss on the forehead, then goes and sits on your bed.

"Eh," he shrugs, “it’s not that far of a fall.”

"No not that, I meant by my dad,” you say walking over to him, “if he knew you were here he would literally kill you.” You sit on his lap and lay your head on his shoulder.

"Well,” he says, "that’s a risk I am willing to take.” You smile at how lucky you are to have such a sweet boyfriend.

"So did you really just come here without food?” You ask lifting your head up. “I mean either way I am glad you’re here but you usually have some food in your hand.”

Riker laughs and signals you to get up. He gets off your bed and grabs your hand. “Oh I brought food,” he says leading you to the window, “it’s just on the roof.”

You look at the smirk on his face and immediately know what he is thinking.

"Oh no we are not going on the roof,” you say sternly, “it’s high and chances of falling off are likely considering I’m a complete clutz."

"Come on, I promise I won’t let you fall,” he says comfortingly, “I would allow myself to fall off before I would ever let you.” You look at him for a few moments before he pulls out the puppy dog eyes.

"Oh no, don’t give me the eyes,” you whine, “you know I can’t resist the eyes!” He smirks and you take that as a sign that one way or another he is getting you onto that roof.

Riker climbs out first and steps onto a tree right next to your window. From the tree he reaches his hand out to you. Carefully you take his hand and climb out of the window on to the tree next to him.

"See,” he says looking over to you, “you’re fine.” He then takes a small jump from the tree onto the rooftop. You doing the same not too long after.

When you got to the roof you see a red blanket laid out with a basket on top of it. Your roof isn’t at a very steep angle so everything is easily staying on it.

"I thought you could use a bit of fun, especially since you’re grounded,” he said. You walk to the blanket hand in hand and sit down comfortably on it.

"Well you thought correctly,” you say as he’s opening the basket. “Ohmygosh are those chocolate covered strawberries?” Riker laughs at how excited you got over those and hands one to you.

"I know they’re your favorite,” he says looking up at the stars. You smile and take another one.

For about the next 2 hours, you and Riker lay under the stars with his arm wrapped around you, you snuggling into his chest. You talk about everything you could possibly talk about and this moment was perfect.

Ruining the perfect moment, you hear a car door slam. You and Riker both sit up and look over to the other side of the roof, your parents are home.

"Oh crap!” You panic and get up to go back in your room. Riker starts to follow you but you stop him.

"No, stay on the roof. There’s no way they will think about checking the roof for any surprise guests.” You say and he nods.

"Thanks for tonight,” you say holding his hands, “it was amazing.” You give him a quick kiss and jump back down to your room.

Just as you close your window your parents walk in. “Hey guys!” You say trying to act like nothing happened.

"Hey, honey,” your mom says, “why was your window open?”

Your eyes grow wide and you reply, “uhh, I just needed some air, this room gets a bit stuffy after a while.”

"Okay,” your dad says, “as long as there were no boys sneaking into the house while were gone.” He starts laughing and so does your mom.

"Ha ha yeah,” you say nervously playing along, “that would be just wrong.”

Your parents leave the room still laughing and you let out a deep breath sit on your bed taking glance at window As you look out, a wild Riker appears in the tree. You both make eye contact and he winks and smiles, then smoothly hops down from the tree with the basket and blanket.

An uncontrollable smile appears on your face as you fall back onto your bed and fall asleep peacefully thinking of the night you just had.
