[amber’s]

I had ended up simply re-reading some of the pages, which were filled with lyrics - I knew for sure now they were exactly that. I wondered how many other songs Harry might have written for Little Nothings? Had they released an album yet? For how long had they been playing?

Most of the lyrics were about love - though I was pretty sure some were about heartbreak and anger too. Harry had probably been in a relationship before, I wondered what had happened, that had made them break it off? I wondered what that other girl might have been like?

It was strange how one simple night full of conversations could change your entire view of a person this radically. Suddenly reading the lyrics had much more depth - I even felt how chills ran down my spine, as I read one specific paragraph about faint childhood memories being free from judgement.

After what Harry had told me I knew exactly what it was about. I wasn’t sure how to point it out - but it was just like I could sense Harry in every damn lyric, which had been scribbled on the pages. I could feel it was him who had written these, who had come up with this, how it came from his heart.

I hadn’t read much before the sound of my old mobile ringing brought me back to the launderette. I quickly got up and noticed I was still the only one in here, I placed the journal ontop of the machine next to my bags and fished out my mobile instead.

“Amber,” I jumped up on the machine and let my legs hang freely over the side, as I watched the machine in front of me - which was filled with my clothes - sling around the water in a steady rhythm.

“Hey darling - it’s Aria how are you doing?” I smiled at the sound of her soft familiar voice.

“Everything’s good. Really good actually!” I laughed even - what the hell was wrong with me!

“Oh oh - I know that tone. Did you meet someone? You did didn’t you? Who is it! I bet he’s amazing!” Her voice turned excited and I could sense the smile in her tone too. She wasn’t hysterical or pushy - luckily. Aria was very mature and knew about life - she knew about the ups and downs and the inbetweens. She was my boss but also a good friend, whom I had quickly grown to care for a lot - Daisy too.

“How the hell can you always tell!” I exclaimed feeling how the bubbly sensation in me was totally floating over all borders. I laughed lightly again and could practically hear her smile widen.

“Is it that brown eyed Mr. Calvin teacher, uh? Or someone else? He must be something really special! Well I can’t wait to hear about him. Anyhow I was just wondering if you had any plans tonight? If not could you maybe have time - and if you feel up to it - come look after Daisy a couple of hours? But don’t think I’m going to let you off the hook about this guy!”

I nodded with a wide smile, as that would be just about perfect. I had to get some of my happy-energy out of my system and Daisy would probably be head over heels with some play time with a happy-crazy person like me.

“Absolutely!”

“Great! Oh you sure as hell is one lovesick lifesaver. Thank you! I’ll leave some cash for dinner on the kitchen counter and my nephew is probably gonna come by to pick up my old laptop. Otherwise you could come about half six maybe?”

And there I was ringing the doorbell which said ‘Aria S. Hayes’ at - well not precisely half six but close enough anyway to be reasonable. Still in Harry Styles' sweater and with my bag filled with candy bars, movies and other crazy things. I had even bought a damn flower pot plant on the way here. I had been absolutely eccentric all the freaking day, as had I been Snow White with all those puppy-cute animals coming to her while she sang those songs and birds twittered along. I had seriously had the best day ever so far - everything had gone as planned - and I was over the clouds. And I knew perfectly well why, as the memory of his hot breath against my lips had been lingering in the back of my mind every second of every minute of every hour.
