"What do you mean she didn't?!", Hiyori exclamed.
"I mean that she didn't stung me!", i replied.
"B-but wait...she doesn't remember, right? Maybe it's because of that!"
"Oh, she remembers, alright. Just look at her face and you know it... But.."
"What is it?..", the brunette asked.

"The thing is that... I never felt something coming from her. Not even once... Just nothing."
"Huh?", she uttered confusingly.
"No anger no happiness...nothing.."
"Is that even possible?"
"I don't know..."
"There has to be something wrong with connection between you two..", she told me.
"Or she just doesn't have any feelings..", I replied.
"I-I..I don't understand...Do you mean that she isn't even human?!"
"..I don't know.."

"She's sure taking her time..."
I sighed, clicking the tip of my pen.

"Oh Yukine. I'm sorry it took so long...", she apologized. "Hi Hiyori, no problem", I forgave her.
"So let's get started!"
"Don't we have to wait for (y/n)?"
"(Y/n)? She's helping Kofuku, isn't she?", the brunette asked.
"Yeah, but she has already missed a couple of lessons. So.."
"We better leave her alone for a while.."
"Why?..", I asked. Hiyori ignored the question and took her books.
"Let's begin with this one!"

Your POV

"Are we ready?...", you sighed.
"Almost!...wait a minute....Yeah, we're done!", Kofuku exclaimed.
"Just saying... flowers aren't living people or something, you know.."

Kofuku turned her head.
"Don't be so cold! Without flowers, the world would be awful!", she yelled.
"Huh?...I-I guess so...", you muttered.

You left the garden and decided to go for a walk outside.

"She was really angry...", you whispered to yourself, "They're just plants, right? Why are they so important? It's not like they're alive...
right...?", you frowned.

At the end of the street, you saw a large man made canal. You had no idea why but you walked towards it...
You sat down and looked in the water.
You were a little dreamy. The water was quiet... Everything was quiet really...

Until something jumped out of the water. You were shocked and closed you eyes. But when you opened them...
...you didn't see anything...
Just the same quiet water...
It was weird... You could've sworn you saw something...
The more you were thinking about it, the more that you recognized it from somewhere...
The thing felt so similar....

You walked back to Kofuku's shrine and the sun was setting.
You were thinking on your way.
Were did you see it before?... Where?..
Not at the shrine, for sure...
But where did you?...

"(Y-(y/n) what are you doing?" Yukine suddenly asked when you arrived at the shrine.
"Huh?", you uttrred in shock.
"What were you doing? Does Yato know?", the blond asked you.
"No... I just wanted to be alone for a while.."
"I don't think it's a good idea to walk away without saying anything.."
"Yeah maybe... But...you sometimes need some alone time too, don't you?"
"Yeah... But...", he looked down, not knowing how to reply.
"You don't have to worry about me. I know what I'm doing."
"Things would be different if you knew what happened...", he spoke quietly.
"I'm sorry Yukine... But could you tell me what happened... Maybe it will be better that way...? Maybe it'll restore my memory?"

You already knew of course, but he didn't need to know that.

"You'll have to ask Yato... sorry..."

You lay your hand on his shoulder.
